PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 Was sitting there waiting in the TM app. At what point are you considered in The Lobby? Anyway, entered the queue and now have almost 3,000 people ahead of me. Quote
Captain Caveman Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 3000 or 30000? I joined at 9:58 and have 14000 ahead of me Quote

PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 I'm still alive. Down to 1,300 but I feel like it's Game 7 and I'm down 3-0 with two minutes to go. 6 minutes ago, Captain Caveman said: 3000 or 30000? I joined at 9:58 and have 14000 ahead of me 3,000. I had the app open for awhile. Quote

Well, in a worst case, there are tix on the 2ndary market which have been going for $280 and up. Doubt that will completely dry up in the next hour. 1 Quote
Porous Five Hole Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 I was 1003 in the queue and gave up after 12 minutes. Looks like I’ll be secondary market. Quote

PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 In a classy move TM just refreshes your screen and sends you to the resale page when all the tickets are sold. You're excited bc you think you're getting some, but not even a, I had a nice time but I am not feeling well. Quote
PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 Make that an F lol. Just now, yall said: I was 145, so definitely got lucky today. What was your secret? Quote

Taro T Posted April 13 Report Posted April 13 Out of curiosity had joined the queue for one of the games (not game 1). There were exactly 2 blue dot seats left in the building at 10:22 - a pair of handicapped access seats in the corner of the 200's. About 5 seconds after seeing them, they were gone. Looks like prices weren't jacked up from what they were charging STHers for extras, so there was that. Hope everybody that was trying to get seats was successful in their quest. If not, there are still a few hundred pink dot seats remaining. Quote

They own enough of the tickets. Brokers set the scarcity - only 1% of tickets left just means the brokers haven't listed all of their tickets. Brokers will eat losses, people probably won't. Losing 100 on a ticket for a broker is offset by win's on other tickets. They'd rather clear inventory than end up with unused tickets. So all that to say, if you want to buy secondary market tickets you should wait as long as you are comfortable waiting. The single game tickets are also likely going to a broker majority, so they'll just have the price raised to adjust to the current market. 1 1 Quote

Related, does anyone know if we've officially clinched home ice? I don't believe Montreal can catch us, so doesn't that mean we have one of the top two positions guaranteed for the Atlantic division? Assuming we have home ice, I was talking with one of the Sabres coaches on Saturday, and he said it would be an 8:00 PM Saturday game if Montreal couldn't catch us. 1 Quote
PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 Now there's a queue to buy resale tickets. Quote

It's been 15 years since the Sabres hosted a playoff game. Excess tix were on sale to STHers for about a week before hitting today's sale. The seats that have been showing up on the 2ndary market, for the most part are seats that were "excess tix" bought by STHers. Not seeing many/any seats available that are currently held as a STHer's normal seats. Bur regardless of who is selling, would agree there's a good chance that if any tix are left for any of the games near gametime, there's a good chance you can get a deal by waiting. Quote
PASabreFan Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 So just go to the party in the plaza and hope? But a lot of people will be doing that. Quote

While I do agree it’ll probably be cheaper right before gametime, I could also see demand increasing once the opponent / dates are set. I can’t imagine Canadien or Bruins fans buying tix until they’ve locked in the opponent but once that happens I would imagine demand increases by those fan bases (although obviously hope the building is jammed with only Sabres fans ofcourse). 1 Quote

Resale tickets will hit their peak pricing now, as demand skyrockets due to all the queers missing out and now heading to that side of things. Tickets will, I’d highly guess, start to go down closer to game time when demand eases up and tickets need to be cleared out/sold Edited April 13 by Nacho Libre That’s QUEUERS 2 Quote

Good point about visiting fans joining the rush. Quote
