North Buffalo Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Still thinking about going but just got back from Cali, jet lagged and finishing up working a double... Im kinda done... will be lucky if I can stay awake for this one. Quote
nfreeman Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 I'll be there. 1st Sabres game I'll have attended in person since Nov 2023, when I moved heaven and earth to get to Newark for Sabres at Devils -- and the Sabres fell behind 3-0 in the 1st 8 minutes and lost 7-2. But Lindy has brought me back. If anyone wants to meet up between periods -- PM me. Go Sabres. 2 4 1 Quote
That Aud Smell Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Let's Go, Buffalo! Home ice advantage in that first round (and beyond!) will mean so much. Go get it! 2 Quote
SabresBaltimore Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 (edited) @PromoTheRobot Title is wrong. Game is: TNT / TruTV / HBO MAX / MSG (NYC area only) unfortunately. No MSG-B coverage, just WGR Edited April 8 by SabresBaltimore tagging op 1 1 Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted April 8 Author Report Posted April 8 (edited) But then you click "how to watch" and you get this. Apparently the game is on MSG but only in the NYC area. Edited April 8 by PromoTheRobot Quote

The last "national" game was IIRC on NHLN but it still was shown on MSG-B in WNY. When they end up on TNT they definitiely do typically end up "national." But, as this one started out as a regional game and the Rangers have a weird contract with MSG it looks like MSG didn't have to give up their ownership of the broadcast in NYC. As convoluted as trying to watch games is, they make it even more difficult. 2 Quote
K-9 Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Games like this, against a bottom feeder looking to play spoiler, are every bit as challenging as playing the best team in the league. Interesting challenge for our young team. I think we will know early on if they’re locked in and ready to play or if they’re still satisfied with the win on Monday. Quote

IIRC their contract with the Rangers (either the broadcast contract or the building contract, maybe both) had something to do why the 10th anniversary WC ended up in that Buffalo suburb known to most as the Bronx. (Or was it Queens? Thought the game was in Yankee Stadium, maybe it was Citi Field.) Quote

Popular Post dudacek Posted April 8 Popular Post Report Posted April 8 A few personal milestones being chased over the final 4 games. Thompson needs 2 goals for his 3rd 40-goal season and 2 points for his second 80-point season. Dahlin needs 2 goals to tie his career high of 20 and 2 points to tie his career high of 74. Ryan McLeod is 2 points away from 53, the career high he set last year. Josh Doan has already set career highs, but needs 2 goals for 25 and 2 points for 50. Jack Quinn just hit 50 points, but still needs another goal to reach 20. Already at career highs. Peyton Krebs and Zach Benson are each 3 points shy of 40, a total neither has hit before. Sabres also have Thompson, McLeod, Quinn, Doan, Byram and Krebs all needing to play 4 more games to reach 82 for the season. I find that particularly notable in Byram’s case considering the hand-wringing about concussions when he was acquired. He has not missed a game due to injury since becoming a Sabre. 5 9 Quote
