Appert is likely to be promoted to HC if Lindy steps down.

Yeah, what is the weakest area of the team by FAR - man up play.  Who's in charge of that?  Checks notes, oh, yeah, the guy somebody a few posts up still expects to be the heir apparent should Ruff decide he no longer wants to be the HC of this team.

Bounce him up to be the next head coach and watch a ton of good will generated in the past 4 months evaporate.
