GreenDice Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 I am a cord cutter in Syracuse and have been watching MSG+ through Fubo. I assume MSG+ does not carry playoff games. What is the best way to follow the Sabres, not knowing the TV schedule? I am having some difficulties finding a streaming service that will carry all NHL playoff games. Thanks in advance. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 (edited) There are non-authorized sites out there, but why not pay for two months of a service like Sling? Every playoff game will be on one of ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, TNT or TBS. Edited March 12 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote

will Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 i think i will just buck up for youtubeTV for a couple months now that the sabres are looking like a lock for playoffs. last few years using espn+ has been frustrating as they do zero playoff broadcasts and spectrum hates espn (where i live, anyway). Thought that when the TV contract went to TNT/ESPN that they were getting every game of every round now. 1 Quote
LTS Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6689390/2025/10/06/nhl-television-broadcast-streaming-2025/ ESPN and TNT will have coverage of the playoff rounds. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 it is far from clear to me whether and to what extent MSG will be allowed to carry Sabres playoff games. it is unclear how many games ESPN and TNT will broadcast and, of those, how many will be Sabres games. i presume (?) that ESPN and TNT will have exclusive rights to the games they broadcast. this is a crappy posture to be in. 1 Quote

Yeah, I refuse to subscribe to multiple platforms to consume, well, much of anything these days. I lived with it during the bad times. I’ll live with it during the good times too. Im certainly not qualified to judge their ability to make money doing it this way, but I am qualified to judge whether they will get more of mine. 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 My wife and I are heading to Boston for a long weekend in late April and if we get lucky the Sabres could be playing the Bruins in the playoffs that week. So the answer to the OP question is hopefully in person. Quote
GreenDice Posted March 12 Author Report Posted March 12 (edited) Sounds like Sling or Youtube TV if you can’t go to every game. I am in Syracuse, Buffalo local TV channels will not be an option for me. Edited March 12 by GreenDice Quote
LTS Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 23 hours ago, That Aud Smell said: is that paywall TV schedule behind a paywall of is own? #paywall I dunno. I searched Google and clicked on a link and read the article. I don't have any subscriptions to things like that. So no? I suppose it would be in appropriate to call TNT and ESPN paywall however. They are on cable, where MSG is. So it's the same paywall if you are using your cable company or DirecTV. Streaming services are their own beasts... Quote
PASabreFan Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 FWIW all NYR first and second round games in 2022 were on MSG. But I hear the haunting words of TaroT re: a new broadcast deal. Can we get some clarity here! I'm too lazy to do it. Quote

Like was said THOUGHT the 2 major broadcasters were taking all of the playoff games since they went to ESPN/TNT. (Could've sworn) CI didn't show any playoff games at least because for out of market everything was available. Don't like any of the 3 NYC teams, so wouldn't be looking for MSG broadcasts anyway. And don't get locals for any other teams. Hope that's wrong and the 1st 2 rounds are still to be shown on MSG. But not overly hopeful. Quote
