I also think that Zach is feeding off the energy from the scrums and fights. He loves it.

Seems that way.

Wilson was losing his s##t at the end of the Flyers game. Very frustrated with his own team really but trying to take it out on the opposition. If this carries over he might be in a mood and we might see some fireworks. Caps on the other hand look like a team that has quit and Dubois is back to his old self so in some ways one would expect a fairly easy win the way the Sabres are playing. But you never know. Good game to try the new guys if that's the way Ruff goes.

So this might be a good game to have Stanley and Schenn in the lineup as the 3rd pairing…in case Tommy starts to misbehave?

Interesting lineup changes.  I thought Tuch was doing pretty well with TT since the Olympic break, but I guess Lindy wants to see how this looks.

As for Schenn, I continue to believe the competition for the #5 and #6 spots is pretty open among Kesselring, Stanley and Schenn, with some possibility that Timmins could force his way in when he returns.  I also think Lindy wants a real third pairing, as opposed to having the #5 and #6 guys play their small allotments of ice time with the top 4 guys because he doesn't trust #5 and #6 together -- which has been the case all season until the deadline deals.  It seemed like Lindy was reasonably happy with Kesselring and Stanley as the 3rd pair the other night vs SJ.  Let's see how it goes tonight with Schenn.

Knowing Lindy I think this means Tuch is out.

And if it’s anything that needs rest, rest him till the road trip.

I look at HockeyFights.com and Luke Schenn is much more accomplished in hockey fighting than I ever knew.   He throws big bombs with either hand.

Schenn is a tough SOB.  Dressing him tonight very well could be a Tom Wilson protective measure.

I will miss most all of this game.

I am taking the family out to dinner.  It is my youngest sons birthday.

No complaints, I planned it to accommodate our kids busy schedule since they are productive workers and I am a retired guy.

Schenn is a true heavyweight. Tough as nails. Team got a lot tougher with the Winnipeg deal. Schenn knows his role as a 3rd pair defensive D that clears the crease and stands up for teammates.

He’s best spotted in certain games but he is a great piece for the lockeroom.

This is his 10th team and he has won two Cups. He should know what a winning team does and can help mentor our playoff rookies.
