Heck, even banks offer better deals than the currency exchange places. But you can bet that when the exchanges houses change their currency, they are gonna get the actual established exchange rate of the day. Weave Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 I have a feeling this is going to be one of those 80% games that Stephen Stamkos likes so much. Why? Because I just sprung for Gotham Sports, and thus it is the first game I’ll get to watch in the comfort of my own home. And I can’t have nice things. 5 Quote

When I get a call to help with power restoration in the USA, I am at the border between 6-8 hours later and my work visa is ready. Perhaps the Governor of the requesting state has pulled some strings. I can’t believe it can take nearly a week for players to come over. Maybe Bettman should have the deadline after the weekend instead of before... Edited March 10 by Indabuff Different visa for professional athletes 1 Quote

Lol He wasn’t wrong though, as the established exchange rate when he checked was .74 vs the US dollar this morning. The exchange house at the Rainbow Bridge will never trade at the higher rate, so it’s no surprise they are offering a dime less per dollar. Quote

Which leads me to: do we want the Sabres gunning for the division title, the top seed in the conference, hell, the Presidents' Trophy (only nine back)? It seems to me (and, yes, as I typed that pompous phrase, I did take a draw on my pipe) Lindy is in a position to manage ice time and perhaps even give some nights off in prep for the playoffs. But not if every night has to be scrote to wallpaper. 3 Quote

That was a million years ago! Visited USS New Jersey last year and man was that thing gigantic. We spent a an hour or so walking around it and hardly saw much of it. Tom Hanks made a movie as a captain of a Fletch Class destroyer. It's called Greyhound and it was pretty good movie Massachusetts is a South Dakota? Now they’re just trying to confuse people. 2 Quote

pi2000 Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 (edited) start the game with a fight to get the boys into it! ....or don't fight and just play well because we don't want to offend anybody who doesn't like fightin! 🙂 Edited March 10 by pi2000 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 Start the game with a fight / Start the game with a goal Start the game with a goalie fight? Just blanket Celebrini. He is allowed to do something highlight-reel-worthy to make the game enjoyable for Sharks fans to make it a 5-1 Sabres lead late in the third period. Otherwise, skate hard and grind them down. 1 Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 We'll find out a lot about the Sabres tonight. Do they come out flat like they did against Nashville? Do they ride the wave of the last game and play hard up tempo hockey against a very good playoff bubble team with two dynamic young player like Celebrini and Smith? I'd be worried more about a letdown if they were on the road, but Key Bank Center should be rocking. 1 Quote
Mustache of God Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 I wonder if this thread will hit 60 pages tonight. This game sure would be nice to win. Keep the streak alive! Go Sabres. 1 Quote

If the Sabres come out like they did in the first half of the TBL game though, it will be over by the start of the third. I don't expect a drop off in urgency just because they nosed ahead of the Lightning. They've been fighting for their lives since December and there's still more work to do. Must Win. Not a classic trap game. Everyone gets what a "trap" game is incorrect. Its when a team is playing a "highly favored to win" game against a much lesser opponent - while looking ahead to the next game which is usually a must-win against a contested rival. 1 1 Quote

You got what a trap game is incorrect. the "while looking ahead" part is a common but not necessary condition. And you popped up after a two and a half year absence since your last post to post... that? Anyway, welcome back. Quote
oddoublee Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 I don't see this as a trap game. But a game where they could have heavy legs coming off an extremely physical and emotional weekend. Quote
Pimlach Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 Looks like another game where I will miss most of it. The Mrs committed to “game night” at the neighbors tonight. Play board games with neighbors. Uugghhhhh. I. Don’t. Wanna. Go. 1 Quote

But not if every night has to be scrote to wallpaper. Expect they are gunning for the division title. And with that comes a real opportunity to have home ice through 3 rounds as Carolina likely won't have anyone nipping at their heels so they could let off the gas a little and still run the 1st 2 rounds. Barring an epic collapse, 1st seed overall is out of the equation. 26 points (a 0.650 pace) is all Colorado needs to keep the Sabres from getting there and they have an incentive to keep winning to keep from having to play both Dallas and Minnesota in the playoffs. So, personally want to see them gunning for the division. Once that seems locked up (should that come to pass) will decide whether am hoping they expend the energy to have game 7 at home rather than in the land of the left turn. But just winning the winnable ones could very well get them top seed in the East regardless of whether they're gunning for anyone or not. 1 Quote
