Must avoid the inevitable emotional letdown after Sunday’s game for the ages. Lindy said he was gonna prepare for that. Easier said than done though.

That is a tall, tall order.

But this squad is up to it.

Let's Go, Buffalo!

We should rename ourselves Orcas for this game and go bite out their livers.

Gotta flip them over first.  Orcas do that

Guy on Twobillsdrive has dolphin skewers with chop sticks as his moniker... dont have photoshop anymore but you could do it to a shark.

--I saw it, I saw it.

++Saw what?

--Ehhh... kind of a sword-swallowing, shark hand puppet-waving, carnivorous, demon buffalo....

Edit: Whoops. Totally flipped two scenes. "I see it" is the asteroid worm (exogorth); "I saw them" is the star destroyers, before outmaneuvering them. I'm definitely going to need to do a refresh rewatch soon.

The Sharks are a point out of the last WC spot.  They need this game.  This is a classic trap game.

If the Sabres come out like they did in the first half of the TBL game though, it will be over by the start of the third.  I don't expect a drop off in urgency just because they nosed ahead of the Lightning.  They've been fighting for their lives since December and there's still more work to do.

Must Win.

I don’t even see it like they are fighting for their lives. They are just playing yeomen-like games. Just win.

Can we all still appreciate the Sabres if they lose? Even the best of teams lose games like this.

That's the real gift this team has given us. We can return to a normal state of fan affairs. Be disappointed in a loss but no need to pillory them or write a stern letter to the head of the company that built the Titanic. Every loss isn't a disaster.

Also... the three players who can't get a Visa. That's incredible.

I don’t understand that either.

When I get a call to help with power restoration in the USA, I am at the border between 6-8 hours later and my work visa is ready. Perhaps the Governor of the requesting state has pulled some strings. I can’t believe it can take nearly a week for players to come over.

Not to be that guy but I think the issue with the Titanic started at the bow - not the stern.

Isak Rosen and Jacob Bryson played on the weekend.

That Schenn and Stanley still can't on Tuesday says...something.

random observation ... but last game vs the lightning they didn't deploy metsa/kesselring as partners.  they partnered metsa and kesselring with the other 4 d-men instead of each other.  Metsa/Kesselring shared the ice for 20 seconds last game according to moneypuck.  Time with each partner for the two of them:

Dahlin-Metsa:  3:02

Power-Kesselring:  2:12

Dahlin-Kesselring:  1:49

Samuelsson-Kesselring:  1:34

Samuelsson-Metsa:  1:24

Power-Metsa:  1:20

Metsa-Kesselring:  0:20
