LGR4GM Posted March 8 Report Posted March 8 Battle of Atlantic division heavyweights. Tampa smoked Toronto yesterday and Buffalo... did just enough to beat Nashville. Ukko Pekka Luukkonen should be your starter, no other changes to the lineup expected. Let's go Sabres, find a way to win. 7 Quote
SwampD Posted March 8 Report Posted March 8 Man, this is gonna be a battle. I can't wait. After yesterday's snoozer, it will be welcome. 2 Quote

Popular Post nfreeman Posted March 8 Popular Post Report Posted March 8 So, when the Sabres played TB last week, I think TB had won 20 out of their last 22 -- but OTOH, before beating the hapless Leafs last night, TB had lost 4 in a row. We're not stuck in an elevator with them. They are stuck in an elevator with us. 14 1 2 Quote

Popular Post Stads Posted March 8 Popular Post Report Posted March 8 Interior: North Pole (Santa's Workshop) Jinglebottom and the other elves had finally had enough. Mr. Kringle was dying today. They all saw him take the belt to Picklepants' backside. Yes, he missed a button on the Polly Pocket Doll, but the punishment was not warranted. They waited until the fat man was in a deep slumber. Jinglebottom covered his mouth as Picklepants drove the sharpened candy cane into his chest. He took his time. This was personal. He carved the following: Sabres 4 Lightning 3 1 3 6 1 Quote

Popular Post JohnC Posted March 8 Popular Post Report Posted March 8 The recent Sabre record information comes from the Buff News, Mike Harrington column: The Sabres are 27-5-2 in their last 30 plus games. And they are also 12-2-1 in their last 15 games. If you look at the standings and consider that if the Sabres merely had a good record during this time frame instead of a fantastic record, we would most likely be out of a playoff spot or desperately trying to get in a Wild Card position. Where we are now compared to where we were on that fateful road trip when rumors were circulating about a GM change, is beyond my imagination. How many people could have envisioned our current situation after seeing where we were for the first 20 games or so? This unimaginable level of success is beyond anything I thought this team and franchise was capable of. In addition, the Harrington column pointed out that the Sabres have so far sold out the building 14 times with a current 8 game sell out streak. I'm happily stunned. 9 1 Quote

Yeah missing 3/4 of the guys we brought in for playoff nastiness, and more specifically fora team full of aholes like the Ning. It’s disappointing but Carrick, Kesselring and Malenstyn need to be ready for it today. 2 1 Quote
Taro T Posted March 8 Report Posted March 8 Aisles and BJs are off today, so Sabres can only knock the magic number down to 30 today. But a Bruins loss puts them in a tie with the BJs and Aisles for only being able to get to 113 points max on the season, so with the next loss after than of any of those 3 teams, the magic number decreases. This should be a really fun game. Would like to have gone to it, but with going yesterday and on Tuesday and Thursday (and originally scheduled for going next Saturday too) something had to give. Expecially with 1 more Bolt game still on the schedule. Hate that they're having 4 and 5 game homestands so regularly this year. This NEEDS to be a 1 time concession to the Olympic break. Sabres chased Vasilievskiy last game. Here's to hoping it happens again. Would be awesome if they could get into his head. 1 Quote
