I really thought Krebbs was at least 5 feet offside. Oh, well. All this winning is weird. I love it. Maybe an optical illusion. I think he stayed onside. Hard to believe Nashville would miss it. Kind've is great. 1 Quote

I think he cited Sabres faceoff percentage at 44%. To come up big in that fashion in his first game in Buffalo is a credit to some serious GMing IMO. Kind of weird actually. Prior to that, Carrick was 33% on the faceoff dot. He wins two at the end to pull to 50% and he's a hero. Quote

They realize a CI faceoff in the 2nd period is not the same as one to the right of their goalie with less than 3 seconds left in the game. They save their best efforts for when the FO matters. And he won the FOs that mattered. He also took several shifts on the PK. That trade looks really good right now. 2 1 1 Quote

I just went back and looked and you can see Tuch wire the puck in, but I couldn't actually pick up the puck coming off his stick. But an instant after that, Krebs' toe is still on the line, and another instant after that the puck is behind the net. So I'm pretty sure it was on sides. Rewatching it again, yeah, Krebs' toe likely was still on the line when the puck got over the blue line. Good catch. Did not look that way live. But with the puck so close to the boards, couldn't really see it and was going off the "body language" of all involved. Linesman (near Krebs) signalled it was good immediately. Quote
