Legendary for showers, same suit on road trips, unclean equipment. But he was great in the playoffs and hi steam won 4 Cups, no one would get close to him. 1 Quote
Popular Post Ducky Posted March 6 Popular Post Report Posted March 6 Excellent pick up for you guys...especially for the price. He's a good penalty killer and an excellent team player. You won't hear a peep out of him if he is sat out and has played as high up the line as 1st line with Connor and Scheifele when needed. A great 4th line player that helped his teammates keep their opposition in their zone more often than not. He doesn't give up on plays. If he had better finish, he would be a second line player. Chevy said that he sat down with him and told him that he would be not playing many games until the end of the season because he wanted to take a look at some of the younger players. Rosen? He told him that he would try to find a place that would be a good fit for him. Sorry to see him go but glad to see he is playing in the playoffs. I hope he's holding the cup in the spring. Chevy and Jarmo have a history of being trade partners. 5 1 17 Quote

He's another been-there/done-that, who can slip into that 3W role that Quinn is playing if Quinn disappears down the stretch. But if Quinn can handle playoff intensity, then Pearson would be 4W insurance or a scratch. And he can still help in those regards. However, if Quinn can handle it (or gets streaky in the goal-scoring way) all the better. 1 Quote

Weave Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 So, has anyone mentioned that there is no reason for Jarmo to stick around after the first round of this year’s draft? Lol 2 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 This is no big deal and we basically gave up nothing but this is another depth move for a mindset that says we plan on going deep into the playoffs. We want the cup and why not? Pearson might be washed and maybe Corey Perry would have been better (although then we only get to the final and lose) but he has won, he knows how to win, and if any of the kids can't cut it in playoff hockey or get hurt there he is. Can kill penalties and fill in like a good soldier does. It is simply what good teams do for the playoffs. Time for everyone to change their mindset. This is no longer can we make the playoffs. This is no longer worrying about getting high draft picks. This is about how far in the playoffs can we go and can we win the cup, and why can't we? @LGR4GM is going to have a heck of a time adjusting his usual draft thread for picking 32nd. 6 1 Quote

I'm sure you'll have a long one I was only kidding, but you have to admit it's going to be a lot harder to agree on picks in the lower end of a draft. Nothing certain at that point and the odds of a winner are slim. Quote
