Eleven Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 I don't care about the 7th. Who is this guy and how does he fit into the roster? Quote

No one around the Sabres really improved that much. This move is not a game changer, same as the other ones. Jarmo tells his team he believes in them and they will be the ones to lead the charge. He tells the newcomers to stand by and be ready for whatever deployment Lindy needs. Tell your new teammates what the playoffs are like and the sacrifices necessary to win. Be pros and good teammates by having their backs. Carrick > Kozak, Dunne, Pearson and Danforth. Malenstyn will level them and Carrick will flatten what’s left standing. I like the faceoff and PK aspects of his game. Stanley, Schenn, Metsa will battle for ice time and may even push Kesselring. They can eat whatever minutes are left. The first two will not let goalies get Luciced. Scrums will be less fun for other teams. 5 1 Quote

Rasmus_ Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Gave up four picks for 3 guys who won't make much of a difference. I'm pretty sure Metsa is a better defensemen than either of the two stiffs we acquired. 1 1 1 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 6 Author Report Posted March 6 Pearson also has a number of fights in his career so as a depth 4th line guy he fits Quote

Sure, but we now have legitimate depth that isn’t as green as our starters in regards to this time of the season Quote

Stanley is better than Metsa and definitely better than Bryson and he adds a toughness we don’t have. the two forwards are definitely upgrades, even slight, over kozak and 44 2 Quote

Stanley is not good at all in his own zone. If we use him only on the PP, I'm fine with that. I'm fearful of any attempt to play him above sheltered minutes against bad opponents above 10-12 minutes a night. He's dreadful. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 (edited) Aren’t we down to a 1st, 4th and 5th only. 3rd & 6th for Carrick, one of our 2 4ths in the Stanley deal and a 7th for Pearson. Our 2nd was already gone. Edited March 6 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
