The tackling was far better. I take it that was prioritized in camp.

And the D attacked.  Which it should.  Never understood why McDermott went with a 4-2-5 version of Corey's "bend don't break D."  He has Josh Friggin' Allen on the other side of the ball.  You want to win games, get the ball in 17's hands as often as possible.

And if you attack, you either win the drive matchup and typically quickly which gets the ball in 17's hands, or you lose quickly and get the ball into 17's hands.

And on the other side, really liked that the 1st play from scrimmage was 10 ~15 yards down field.  They used to let him move upfield and then pretty much stopped doing that the last 2 years.  Again, you have Josh Friggin' Allen under center.  Let him make plays and let him throw anywhere on the field; don't make him always throw 10 yards or less downfield.  DJ Moore is going to have a career year and Cook is severely underpaid only 1 year after signing his deal.

This could be a fantastic season.

The fact that it was only a preseason game is irrelevant. The Bills defense looks faster and more athletic than in recent years. A bit more inexperienced for sure. But definitely faster. Hopefully by Thanksgiving the D has Leonard’s system down pat.

My stadium review:

The new place is great. I love it.

It did take a minute to adjust to the pitch of the 400s where we sit. It brought back to mind the oranges at The Aud.

But it’s great how the fans are all right on top of the field. Visiting teams are gonna *feel* the home crowd.

Moore is THE key piece to this offense, IMO 

 

Having a true/legit boundary WR will open up the rest of the field for this team. Essentially, 17 can force his opponent to pick their poison and just, methodically MURDER them...

I'd still like them to add at receiver and I think Dawes is under used. Latu looked good too. 

The defense looked nice. Ik Carolina is not good and everyone is running a vanilla scheme but the 1st team defense got after it.

I figured there'd be some good reporting on obstructed seats after the game. Not sure who these dudes are, but they are credentialed by the Bills.

The one fella reports a "conservative" estimate of 1,200 seats that have significant obstruction and "a big number" in the upper levels with some degree of obstruction.

Have your opinion. But you don't have to grumpy, contrarian or a Bills/TP hater to say: this stadium was terribly designed.
