Shoot da Puck Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 (edited) TNT sucks, looks like WGR for me . Edited January 14 by Shoot da Puck Quote
steveoath Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Paul “no clue” Bisonette in Rob Ray’s box for the TNT team. This will be awful. 2 1 Quote
zow2 Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Massive game. Gotta keep pace with the other red hot clubs in the Eastern conference. 2 1 Quote
CallawaySabres Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 CANNOT lose two in a row to teams in the East. The dreaded must wins are game like tonight against teams fighting for your spot. That 4 point swing against Florida was a killer, but they have a chance to correct it tonight. 3 Quote
LETSTUCHINGO Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Tonight and tomorrow are must win games and will tell us if this team is ready to take the next step and battle for a playoff spot! Let's go BUFFALO! 1 Quote
muppy Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Wednesday Thursday and Saturday games at Home. That is a lot of hockey in a short time. Hockey players are extremely tough individuals Go Sabres! 1 Quote
SabresBaltimore Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 first game of a back to back, both against teams you're competing with the playoffs. Tomorrow is arguably the more important of the 2 being Montreal but need to focus on and win this one after losing Monday and hopefully do it in a way where you still have something left for tomorrow night's game. Let's go BUFFALO! I agree. The Sabres have shown to be a hard working team that has a chance to be in the top 8 for sure. But we've seen all too often, they can squeeze their sticks and get mediocre goaltending when things aren't going right... then you blink and they've lost like 3 of 4, or 5 of 7. That just can't happen in this conference. Quote
LGR4GM Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Better dig deep and show up. The shot metrics have started to slip since the winning streak and they need to get back to that style of play. 2 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I was supposed to be there tonight but car issues will delay me a day. Quote
Pimlach Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 (edited) This is a huge game. The Sabres need to get the crowd going and play a complete game. The team must focus on tonight’s game first. TNT wants to make Buffalo a good story. Biz Nasty in the box with Ray could be fun. Edited January 14 by Pimlach 2 Quote
#freejame Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Hugely important game against a team you’re competing against to make the playoffs. A bad loss here will tank all fan momentum and make for a tougher test tomorrow against the Habs. Gotta take this game if we’re going to make noise this season. I’ll probably be there. Go Sabres. 1 1 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 The loss to Florida makes this game more interesting... a back-to-back with the Habs makes this game more fun... hockey, hockey, hockey... 1 1 Quote
French Collection Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I imagine UPL gets the start. He needs to bring his home game mojo. Must win. Lets go Buffalo! I would like to see Kesselring back, his size would be a boost vs this team. Take one of the smurfs out. Quote
SabresBaltimore Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 FWIW UPL was in the starter's net yesterday and while skating with the team Lindy already ruled Kesserling out for tonight. Sounds like maybe tomorrow though 10 minutes ago, French Collection said: I imagine UPL gets the start. He needs to bring his home game mojo. Must win. Lets go Buffalo! You're going to give yourself a heart attack thinking about it like this (even more than usual) They had to get about 70 points in their final 53 games to make the playoffs. Now they have to get about 44 points in their final 38 2 Quote

Despite some wins after the streak, as Marty pointed out, the shot metrics in the last 4 have favored all the teams we have played. We need to get back to taking the game to the opponent and no time like the present to do it. 1 Quote

I wonder if Bergevin and Jarmo have both noticed and more importantly, what they think of the team now that it isn't running at 110%. 1 Quote
Stads Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I am cool with no MSG crew tonight. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Or...I don't want to see Duff's smug face, hear Dan say who scored 10 seconds post goal, or Rob's generic musings. The TNT broadcast will probably piss me off within 10 minutes so don't listen to me 1 1 Quote

Presumably Greenway will only play tonight or tomorrow, not both, and Kozak is the logical guy to step in (especially now that Dunne is out until after the Olympics realistically). 3 Quote
