Porous Five Hole Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 As a 10th forward? Yes. As a top line forward? No. As a guy who has a tattoo of himself on his own body? Yes. 1 1 Quote
Fansince70 Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 He has a place on this roster. Dude works his keister off. 5 2 1 Quote
triumph_communes Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 As a person and his compete level is a ok. Probably at least but upgrading his slot on the roster should be priority #1 or 2 for Jarmo 2 Quote
K-9 Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 He is the perfect 4th line forward that can move up in a pinch. 6 1 Quote
Stads Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I think the top 6 role will fade soon and he's back more suited on the 3rd or 4th line. Love his tenacity and willingness to mix it up with anyone on the other team. As I've stated previously, perfect player for the playoffs 2 Quote

The fact he can play high energy 4th line minutes - but has the right skill set to slide up and down the lineup...I like having him on this team. 1 Quote
French Collection Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I like him as a depth/glue guy. The future of Östlund, Kulich and Helenius probably relegates him to the 4th line and Kozak could do the same thing for less. Quote

As much as people may like Dunne and Greenway, the Krebs, Kozak, Malenstyn combination is our best 4th line. 2 Quote
Pimlach Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 I don’t know Krebs but sure, I like him. I like everyone unless given reasons not to. Quote
Ctaeth Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 I like krebs a lot. Hes not what I expected when we first got him in the eichel trade.... but nevertheless he is a great tool for the team. 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 I think most people who don't like Krebs don't like him because of where he was drafted and because he never turned into a high impact scorer. In terms of the type of player he is, definitely fills a role we need...the agitator, kind of like the role Kaleta played but with more offensive upside and less physicality, although he definitely doesn't mind mixing it up. Mr Peabody Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Seems a key driver of the new culture we’re building. Look at his face today - that’s a hockey player. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. 3 Quote

That's saying something for a guy who was drafted to put up points. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Like all questions it depends. It depends where we are playing him and how much we are paying him to fill that role. He is not a "1st line player", but either is Doan, but both seem to work well with Tage. What's more important having players that work well together or guys one can ID as being a top line player or a second line player etc...? 1 Quote

There are enough bodies they should make a 2 or 3 for 1 deal. 1 Quote
SABRES 0311 Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 I’d like to see Doan Thompson Tuch Zucker Norris Östlund Benson McLeod Quinn Malenstyn Krebs/Dunne Greenway 1 Quote
North Buffalo Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 yes love his feistiness and can play up and down the line.... not a top skill guy Quote
#freejame Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Krebs strikes me as a guy who if you say Krebs we love you but we can’t give you a raise this year, he sticks around anyway. That’s what you need from your bottom 6, but especially 4th liners. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Tage Thompson is one of the most dynamic and skilled players in the league and should have a more talented linemate than Krebs. Tage is really being a great leader by just accepting the situation as it is. The lines as they are now are obviously working but at some point our big star should be placed with linemates that bring out his top offensive potential which I don't think Krebs provides. If the team was not doing so well I think Ruff would be heavily criticized for having Krebs on with Tage, but you can't argue with success Quote
DarthEbriate Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 (edited) Is Krebs Wedge, hero of the Rebellion? Then, a resounding yes. OR is Krebs Biggs, martyr of the Rebellion? Then, also yes. But I'm not sure yet. And how does Östlund fit? Undecided. What I do know is that we need a #19 in the lineup to make a playoff run. Edited January 11 by DarthEbriate 1 Quote
