Since 2011, 22 defencemen have played at least 100 games for the Buffalo Sabres.

Only three of them have an overall ES goals-for percentage over 50 as a Sabre during that span.

Name them.

(Worst number, Mike Weber at 37.2% over 260 games).

No takers eh?

The answers are:

Samuelsson 51.4

Byram 51.0

Power 50.2

I found it interesting that all 3 + players are currently on the team after going oh-fer-15-years.

What Sabres player was named to the All-Rookie Team for the 2018-19 season?

Has to be Dahlin, no?

Between the 1974-75 and 1984-85 seasons, the Sabres set a franchise record by reaching the playoffs in 11 consecutive seasons.

Ah, the days when TP’s influence was equal to mine.

5.  (After the Minnesota Barons came along.)

And there should be a stretch of just 4 teams missing too, right? Or did one of the 4 divisions have an extra team?

In the 17 team league, the Norris had 5, everyone else 4.  Post-merger, the Norris had 6.  Everyone else 5.  Gives us 21.

So, you went from 16 teams with 8 making the playoffs, to 18 teams with 12 making the playoffs, to 17 with 12 making the playoffs, to 21 with 16 making the playoffs, eventually up to 32 teams with 16 making the playoffs.  (Discounting the season that was disrupted by Covid.)

By what nickname was the scoring line of Gilbert Perreault, Rick Martin and Rene Robert known?

(I skimmed and I promise the trivia questions get a little more challenging later on)

Seriously?  La Filiere Francaise.

Who coached the Sabres to their first Stanley Cup Final appearance in the 1974-75 season?

Thought you said these were going to get hard.

Jan 15: FACT & TRIVIA

Dale Hawerchuk tied a team record by recording five assists in an 8-8 tie with the Devils on January 15, 1992.

Who are all the Sabres to have five assists in one game? There are four players including Dale.
