Other than Hasek who helped contribute to the Nolan opinions, no I think you nailed it. This might just be me. But a guy who people remember fondly and I don’t is John Muckler. I say Muckler because although he’s less polarizing, he’s central to the Nolan controversy. Mucks had a Sabres division title in his pocket and loads of experience/good will, but dang you could fault the guy for a lot of his GM decisions. And then he gets the ax (assuming to smooth over tensions and that didn’t work). Reminder that his Sens team took out Buffalo in 06-07. That one still hurts. So he blew up the Hasek/Nolan Sabres and showed curtains to the Drury & Briere era. It’s why he’s polarizing to me because I remember him as a cranky old man hockey-terrorist to my favorite team. But I get the feeling he is remembered fondly. Like I said, this just might be a ‘me’ thing. 2 Quote
