I do not believe Lindy realized how dysfunctional this organization had become when he agreed to be HC

It's possible; likely actually.  But, essentially not making any changes in the coaching staff before he started coaching them again nor again after coaching with them for a full year; seems to say something too.

He also had similar words around the 3 headed goalie situation. He was asked how hard it is for the goalies to get in rhythm with 3 on the roster and he said something like "it's been really hard for me too"

It's clear Pegula/Adams is the problem here.

I've beat this drum, Lindy is a respected hockeman in the NHL who belongs in the hall of very good. He's a tenured pro, we'll know by the end whether the issue is coaching or FO.

It's clearly FO and Lindy is telling us as of late.

Which is why, when it gets brough up, I'm not in favor of firing Ruff and thinking it will fix everything or anything.

1.) Its the roster management more than the head coach that hurts this team.

2.) If the Ownership/management doesn't change how they do things, what 'good' coach will want to come here and work under the conditions that exist?

It's also a little frustrating that the long tenured HC is publically saying/hinting that he disagrees with at least 2/23 players.

My take on Lindy is that if you give him the 10th best roster he'll often be about the 10th best team in the league. But if you give him the 20th best roster he'll have you in the playoffs more often than you miss. If you're bottom 10 he'll have you in the hunt.

He's a low ceiling, high floor kind of coach. He's a good stabilizer for an organization in transition and/or with a young, but he won't get you over the hump.

To your point, firing Lindy accomplishes nothing.

Yep. The owner would allow one specific coaching change this offseason, when he said no the status quo remained

I disagree. It wasn't a secret to him or anyone involved in the league that the Sabre organization was and is dysfunctional. He probably thought he would have more say into personnel and staffing decisions. But clearly, he isn't as influential and empowered as he thought he would be. There were and are a lot of qualified people who wouldn't have an interest in taking the coaching job if offered because they know what they would be encountering here in this Pegula toxic dump.

We all know Adams needs to go. Lindy hinting at dysfunction doesn't change that.

Adams is more likely to be promoted to POHO then be removed from the organization

Because Terry is stupid and the org is dysfunctional. Nothing will change as long as Terrance thinks he's smart. You'd think 15yrs of ***** up would convince him but nahhh

I think Lindy is the most respected guy to sit in front of a mic and say that shirt is hard in Buffalo.

So in that respect it helps cut through the bullshirt/gaslighting we get from Adams.

I wouldn't be bothered if KA was promoted to the POHO position. The issue then becomes is he still making the hockey decisions or would the next GM be making the personnel decisions. The issue isn't what position he has as it is how empowered is he.

Taking out your testicular cancer just to put it into your head, seems counter productive.

If KA is elevated to a position with a loftier title without much authority, then I would be fine with that. He can have whatever title he wants as long as another GM is the one authorized to make the hockey decisions. Will that be the case in this weird Pegula organization? I don't know.

And really... it's hinting.  It's only blatant to the Kevyn haters.
