bob_sauve28 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Obviously, he looked great, lots of speed and skill. If he stays healthy he could really be a huge improvement for the team. Quote
#freejame Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago He’s certainly got some speed to him. I don’t think there was ever a question of skill. It’s all about how long he’s able to stay on the ice to use it. I seem to remember him being our best player in the preseason. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago He's a dynamic player who can drive play and finish. We just need to pray that he can stay (mostly) healthy. Quote
thewookie1 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago He has one specific issue, health/availability. He's a 1st line talent with Tim Connolly's reliability (Connolly in my opinion could of been a superstar with his skill, I don't see Norris being Connolly level) 1 1 Quote
matter2003 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago If he stays healthy he is a very good player at both ends. The problem is his staying healthy. Quote

He's a 1st line talent with Tim Connolly's reliability (Connolly in my opinion could of been a superstar with his skill, I don't see Norris being Connolly level) I had a chance encounter with some former Sabres when I delivered furniture to one of the townhouses they lived at back in the day and there were several players there hanging out including Kotalik, Vanek and Roy...we were just chatting while I set things up for them and I asked them who they thought the player with the most skill on the team was and without hesitation all of them said Connolly. If he can stay healthy and play like he did last night then he’ll make a huge positive impact. Unfortunately, he has played in 5 of a possible 47 games since joining the Sabres. That doesn’t exactly lend confidence that he’ll be in the lineup often enough to make a difference. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago My thoughts? Lando Norris(sian). Joshdo Norrissian? He's the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. I thought you could help with some repairs. They told me they fixed me. It's not my fault! Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Only one game, but what I saw was pretty spectacular. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago I just hope he plays well on the road, because we need the help NOW Turn into road warriors and get back into the race Quote
In The Buff Posted 44 minutes ago Report Posted 44 minutes ago if he can play more than a few games in a row for us here, maybe we have something. But that's really the 1st bar he needs to reach. Being out there & available for a real stretch of games. Up until this point, thats been his major issue. Obviously if we have any hope of moving up in the standings, we'll need a healthy Norris playing like he did last night. Quote
nfreeman Posted 42 minutes ago Report Posted 42 minutes ago Given his history and how skinny he looks, it seems impossible that he would stay healthy through a regular season and especially those extra games after the regular season that some other teams get to play in. Quote
msw2112 Posted 39 minutes ago Report Posted 39 minutes ago One thing that I believe is overlooked about Norris is that he's only 26. If he can somehow find a way to get past the injuries (not likely, but you never know), he's a not only a really talented player, but he has a lot of years ahead of him. He was certainly a difference maker on the ice last night and a huge addition to the power play. Quote
matter2003 Posted 36 minutes ago Report Posted 36 minutes ago All I can say is that top line of Benson-Norris-Thompson looks like it's going to be a menace to the rest of the NHL for as long as it can stay healthy and intact. Quote
LGR4GM Posted 35 minutes ago Report Posted 35 minutes ago Josh Norris in his Sabres career: 5games, 3g, 2a, for 5pts Quote
