HumanSlinky39 Posted 59 minutes ago Report Posted 59 minutes ago (edited) This team has another gear with Norris on the ice. I'm not jumping in head first, but I'm cautiously optimistic if...IF...Norris can stay on the ice. Also, kudos to Upie; he played well. Big road swing on deck. On to the next one... TNT to be the shoot-first wing. Benson to force the issue, pressure the puck, and show off the silky passes. And Tage to be the enforce when the other team goes after Benny. Quote

Then he made sure the glove got to its intended target. A little girl. That was a great moment. He stayed and waited to make sure everything was okay. He was smiling and clapping when he skated away. 2 Quote

Will be interesting to see what this team looks like now that they are almost back to full strength, minus Kesselring, who I believe is the only player that would be a key contributor that is still out, correct? Flashsabre Posted 56 minutes ago Report Posted 56 minutes ago (edited) The more I watch this team the more I realize I know nothing about this team😁 Muel playing great, UPL playing well. Great game for Norris. If he could ever stay healthy and Kesselring can come back this team has playoff potential. They desperately need a run here where they are close to healthy and have their true lineup on the ice. Edited 54 minutes ago by Flashsabre Quote

The rest of the team looked like a playoff team for once in a long time. UPL was, once again, kinda lost early. But, as is usually the case when the team limits chances against him early, he got into a bit of a groove as the game went on and actually started limiting rebounds and doing a better job of directing the ones he couldn't control towards teammates (and not only teammates in the slot surrounded by 2 Jets, either 😉 ). Would like him to have kept his stick on the ice for the point shot from Morrisey; had he done so, he gets a SO. But, it's tough to blame a goalie on a shot that's tipped just outside the crease. I think that's being generous. To me, it seems like he randomly has spells during the game where he loses focus - in addition to starting each period unfocused. Quote

The part about limiting and controlling rebounds was going above and beyond what he's typically done this season. (Realized after rereading it, that may not have been stated as clearly as it should've been.) And, yes, the team played very well in front of him. But will give the devil his due when it's earned. He came very close to playing a complete game tonight. (And hopefully some opposing GM saw the effort tonight and believes his coaches can wash the Sabre stink off of him.) 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted 44 minutes ago Report Posted 44 minutes ago (edited) Excellent win. Norris adds skill to the top 6. Just hope he stays in the line up. I thought a lot of Sabres stood out tonight. Get rest. Get on the road, and then beat the slugs in Philly. They think they play that “heavy” game. Just blow on by them and dominate. Edited 29 minutes ago by Pimlach 1 Quote
