DarthEbriate Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Both teams are coming off a game last night and are playing their third game in 4 days. Sluggish pace expected. Wallstedt played last night, so the Sabres don't have to play a goalie whose numbers look like this: 7-0-2 1.93 GAA .938 sv%. They can't possibly get goalied tonight by a backup, right? (I still was certain that they were going to take Wallstedt with the Rosen pick since they hadn't given Ullmark a multiyear extension.) How is Gustavsson against the Sabres? A career sv% of... .938. Well, #####. This is either a game the Sabres magically show up for and net 7+, or they get 0 or maybe 1 really early -- tell themselves good job, and get shutdown the rest of the way. 1 Quote
steveoath Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Can someone fire Adams and replace the coaching staff please???? At this point even Torts would have an improvement. Quote

Apparently it bears repeating. It never matters what the other team has done previously while playing the Sabres. They are the antidote for teams playing the night before or mired in a losing slump. No worries, your Buffalo Sabres are here to make sure everyone’s favorite team get a leisurely game to play where only a modicum of effort can propel you to the W column. 4 minutes ago, steveoath said: Can someone fire Adams and replace the coaching staff please???? We'll give Tuch an 8 year deal and make no other changes. The year will be 2055 and UPL will still be our starter. The misery with this team is unending. Quote
sabresouth Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago It's a win win. The Sabres win, yay. Sabres loose, one game closer to ka getting canned, right? Right???? Quote

Minnesota is on a 9-0-1 streak while averaging just 3 goals per game. What does that say about team defense and goaltending? This is going to be 4-1 loss. Quote

This has been said 100's of times over the past few seasons. KA is going to be promoted, not canned. Meanwhile, Terry is finalizing the Sabres budget for 2026. 1 Quote

However, the notion of the smirking and insufferable (to me) being the HC is not an option I would consider. He's had a good run as a coach. But there is a reason why he has had so many different coaching positions: his harsh totalitarian act has a short life span that results in him soon moving on. Looking to the past is not a solution for the present and future. Quote

The Sabres win games like this. They keep the likes of Duffer, PTR and KA going. Did you never see a cat toying with a mouse? Quote
