I was at work (still need a job because mental illness hasn't been cured) and didn't get to see a whole lot of the game. Did Allen play well or were the 41 shots mostly from the outside?

Sabres seemingly shot into his pads or glove each time. Would have had more shots but we like the back pass when on a breakaway or 10 ft out. So there is that.

I don't think Terry will do anything until the offseason. He doesn't wanna pay the extra money. Seasons over on November 28th.

Unfortunately that's a dangerous path to take.

The season might be lost, but the Tuch decision has to be made before the deadline.

Doan, Kesselring, and Benson need new contracts.

Dead weight like UPL, Greenway, and Byram needs to be moved.

Putting these decisions off until the offseason is not smart, and in Tuch's case not really possible.

Seriously, if the Pegula wants to give a new GM the best possible circumstances for success, he's coming up fast on the point of no return.

The only solution is to give Tuch an 8 year deal and do nothing else.

Tuch should leave.  He really should tell Adams that he wants to test free agency.  Adams will trade him and that’s that.

Not really.  The fans are numb.  The expectations are low.

Sabres putting something extra in the Labbats sword beers to numb them and keep them there.

Not sure what Sabres are putting into players hydration?

Life is hard, I wish the sabres weren’t such a mess. Can’t even be mad at them today

we’ll be great again one day. I’ll always love them. Even though we suck.

Yeah, I mean my actual honest reaction is "who cares?" The franchise, as a whole, does not. I mean for fvkcs' sake ... I just ... ugh.

The irony is that he has the next GM in his organization already.  But Terry will still do it wrong and put that GM into a harder position.

Terry is the reason I don’t want McDermott and Beane removed.  There is just no way he hires the right replacements.

Right you are Coach.

KA will ask for more picks & prospects. Working well so far.

Adams does not have the competence to make that trade.

The Sabres will wind up with another RHD, a 3rd line tweener, and the 29th pick in the draft.  And Kev will throw in a 2nd rounder, just to drive us insane.

They need to send Lindy to the golf course. Bring Leone up from Rochester as the interim, and do your stuff too.

Can't bring up Leone. Appert is right there. He's been prepped as Adam's hand-picked HC for the last 2 seasons.

I’m pretty sure the decision on Tuch has been made already.

If Doan, Kesselring, and Benson know what’s good for them they won’t sign.

I’m sure they will sign Greenway and Byram.

You’re crazy to think Pegula is going to do anything about the GM mid-season. If he was, it would have been done already.

Greenway and Byram are already signed through next season.

Doan, Kesselring, and Benson are all RFAs, too - right? I mean the could refuse to sign, i guess? But that is not a great business decision.

Yes, they are all RFAs. They could seek offer sheets or refuse to sign but it's unlikely.

5-0 home shutout.  I thought they would compete.  I don’t know why I have any faith.

I already quit going to their crappy rink.  Check

Then  I quit buying any related merch.  Check

Will I stop watching them as my next step?

Try it.

Without checking scores I look at my clock & check game about 2 hours in. Usually the same score or effort.

I've watched 12K+ & probably more hockey games in my life rough guesstimate.

Played the sport  personally up to a decent level.

Even if..  when they get good enough to trust for a season... I don't how much I'll watch. Pegula has crushed this fan base!

They can't even make a 8 team playoff in 14 years.

Remember when the Sabre's made the playoffs, broke our hearts, but still had a chance to win it all years 75-2010 or so?

There is a deep cancer with this organization. What a waste of a ravenous fan base.

41 shots on goal. Pretty good for lifeless. Effort wasn't the issue tonight.

Quite often effort isn't the issue...not any more so than other teams. THE ISSUE is a poorly constructed, low skill level team that isn't helped by coaching or management. 41 shots and ZERO goals???? 6 goals allowed??? Players aren't skilled enough to pass and shoot with accuracy. Defenders are unable to help keep the puck out of the net! Coaches aren't coaching strategies that these particular players are capable of playing. Duuuuh???

I didn't say that Pegula will do anything.  Just pointed out that firing Adams sooner is way better than later.  I have no confidence Terry will do this.

Greenway and Bryam were already signed this past off season to the tune of 10M combined. They were trash signings.  They are dead weight and need to be traded ASAP to clear space to sign better players.

Doan, Kesselring, and Benson are RFAs.  How many other GMs other than Adams has difficulty signing their RFAs?  He overpaid Power, Cozens, and Quinn, and completely lost Peterka.  Sure, Doan, Kesselring, and Benson could play hardball against Adams.  If Terry were awake, that should make him want to replace Adams ASAP to win over those RFAs, if possible.

And I doubt the decision on Tuch has been made yet, because it's not a stand-alone decision, unless the decision is to let him just walk or trade him for only prospects, two of the worst and laziest decisions possible.

If you want to sign Tuch, or trade him in a 'hockey' trade, Adams is going to have to move other players.  Again, sooner that happens, the better.

I want to see Norris in the lineup.

Has played a total of 4 games out of 50 since joining the Sabres. 3 last season and 1 this season.

Now he is day-to-day.

Time for him to show up and earn his keep.

No point in saving him for some playoff run.

Maybe he can give a spark to help salvage the season from an entertainment perspective at least.

Back in town for Thanksgiving so decided to make it to a game for the first time in about 5 years.  Even felt the need to take my youngest to his first NHL game with me.  What a mistake that was.  Think I officially broke him.  He never wants to go back again!
