You can always tell how excited we are as a fan base judging from what time the GDT’s are started.  Ten am is pretty accurate.  We barely care and it’s not even Thanksgiving.

Not all fans live in the area, and leverage MSG for access.  I like knowing if ESPN+ is carrying the game.  Plus, the game starts at 6pm, not 9pm….pacific time zone and all.  But I get it.  Nothing more important than your opinion, nothing less important than mine.  My dad still says options are like @$$holes, everyone has one. It’s why some of these threads go on and on.

The time zone is important to some.  

Last 3 games:

2-1 OT loss at home, 2-0 home loss to St. Lousy, and 6-3 road loss to Carolina 

It is Nov 12th and the Sabres are looking for their first road win of the season, tomorrow they play the Avs so here we go ...

I think we can say this is a Must Win.

The Athletic only had ESPN+. I agree it was nearly perfect. Now it is.

Maybe it's a time zone thing, but do we have any clues on the starting lineups/goalies?

My App says its UPL and Vejmelka. 

I suppose they are saving Lyon for the Avs and that Ellis is just a mirage.

If I'm the coach, UPL is my offering to Colorado. I keep Lyon for the Detroit Revenge game (it's a potential 4-point swing game in-division and the game they need to win).

Luukkonen gets the "fun" games...  red-hot Avs, angry McDavid? Go get 'em, Tiger. If he wants to keep his job as a backup, he can do so by playing the best hockey of his life. And if not, I don't worry that he gives up 6 in a 7-1 loss.

The optimist in me says that Ellis will play a great game, and suddenly becomes the "hot hand" and then gets the start in Colorado.  The realist in me says something else.  Plus, back-to-back is tough, especially for a guy coming off of a long layoff and a back injury.  I agree with the post above about the Detroit game being more important than the two upcoming West Coast games.  Tonight and tomorrow are "2 point games" whereas Detroit is a "4 point game" and you want your best in net for that game.  Ellis was great against Detroit in his first start and Lyon is currently the top dog, so you have to figure it will be one of those two and UPL gets the Colorado game.  Even if UPL plays well in the Colorado game, I still don't want him in the nets for the Detroit game.
