Btw before someone lists Benson and Helenius and what not, the Sabres have drafted more defense than forwards. It's like 11 to 9 or something. Taking Bedkowski when Romano was on the board is such a stupid duck up.

Edit: Since 2022 it's

10 forwards

11 defenders

4 goalies

Remember there's 12 forwards who play and only 6 defenders and the team already has Rasmus Dahlin.

It was an over-compensation to the first 3 years of drafting under Adams, where they picked 21 forwards, only 5 d-men, and 1 goalie.

What are the prices💲? Do you usually buy on the secondary market?

I get my tix for the few games I attend from Ticketmaster. This is a "secondary market" eh?

Is there a more direct market? I've seen 30 shows chasing Jam

bands up and down the East Coast since I retired in June and am tired of getting boned by Ticketmaster with added fees.

I know this is sort of random and is off the subject, but is there a way to acquire tickets without a middle man without driving to Buffalo from Syracuse?

The Sabres are a joke. With UPL in net, my son will have a very good chance to see Ovie’s 900th goal in person since he’s going to the game.

4 game “winless” streak incoming

Good thing Lindy has last change - that third line could get crushed.

Caps will change on the fly to test that group for sure.

There are others who are more knowledgeable about the best way to purchase tickets and avoid going through Ticketmaster. It has gotten to the point that there was legal scrutiny because of their price gauging via hidden fees. I have read numerous stories where performers had opted out of the Ticketmaster system. Legal thievery is still thievery.

It really bums me out to watch a game without Benson playing. Love that kid's game and we all saw what we looked like to go 0-3 without him. I honestly think he has that type of effect on this team. Worst player to get injured in my humble opinion

I only like regulation ties when were had to come from behind.

Please help me with Lindy’s logic on starting UPL?  He was planning to play Ellis, didn’t, and UPL was ….UPL against Toronto.  Sabres are carrying 3 goalies, and he bypasses Ellis start based a below average performance.  Where is the upside?

I don't understand it, that's for sure. But I haven't understood their goalie decisions since Ullmark left.

Just be glad he didn't put Geertson in goal.

Levi has played more games in the AHL than Ellis. How is he insurance for NHL games but Levi couldn't possibly get a spot start here and there if needed?

And NHL also.

UPL with 1 bad starts gets his 2nd start before Ellis who had 1 great start, who himself is only NHL insurance.  While the good goalie prospect who won a Mike Richter Award in college, has many more quality NHL and AHL starts has to season in the minors?

Did I get this right?

UPL was the backup in Boston.  Maybe Ellis is hurt?

Who knows, it makes no sense.

One thing I do notice is that on this site UPL is the least popular goalie of the bunch.
