Nobody should be allowed to revisit comments made during game play. It's fair... 4 hours ago, shrader said: Attempted murder only draws a 15 yard penalty, right? Is it the play calling that is questionable or the decision to play a QB who essentially has a cast on his hand? I’m not sure what they’re supposed to do with that kind of limitation. Well, I don't know why they weren't throwing to their 6'7 311lb receiver/TE more. I thought Pittsburgh's offense lacked imagination and allowed Buffalo to actually step up to stop the run. There were mistakes by the Steelers offense as well, no doubt. I just wasn't impressed.. and yeah Rodgers has the cast but it doesn't hurt his throwing. Not complaining, just that the Bills have managed to puke all over themselves a few times this season. Beating the Steelers who are clearly much worse than I thought they were (I didn't think they were all that great) just doesn't get me all jazzed up. Sure they won, but they've got a long way to go. JustOneParade Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Any truth to the rumor that the Steelers will be filing elder abuse charges against the Bills' defense on Rogers' behalf? Quote

I should have posted a pic of McD instead because my joke was completely over your head. Jauron and McDermott weren’t the first two coaches to tell us how hard it is to win. Coaches in every sport have uttered this at various times. Quote

He coached not to lose rather than to win most games. During the drought, he was the one coach that actually had a winning record (9-7, but still) when he got fired. Quote

PASabreFan Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago So, wait. It's OK to refer to the University of Pittsburgh as Pitt but not OK to call the city of Pittsburgh Pitt? Pit, however, is good. Quote

What are you talking about? That was Mike Mularkey, not Dick Jauron. That's when all we had to do is beat the Steelers backups at home in the final game when they rested everyone, and we would have made the playoffs and we choked it. Jauron went 7-9 three straight seasons and then was fired in the middle of his 4th year at 3-6. In his entire coaching career, he had one magical season in his 3rd year with the Bears where the defense and special teams propelled them to a 13-3 record with abysmal QB play and winning close games in improbable ways every week and then never repeated it again, following that season with a 4-12 record. His overall record as an NFL HC was 60-82, an abysmal .423 winning percentage. His one playoff game was an absolute ass kicking at home against the Eagles where they lost 33-19, were outgained yardage wise 336-184 and had 4 turnovers. Edited 3 hours ago by matter2003 Quote

He has done a very good job. I would go so far as to say he's done a great job. But I realize many (most) would say he has not been great because of the playoff disappointments. Maybe it's my landing in middle age. Maybe it's paying more attention to certain aspects of the games. Maybe it's the Hamlin incident and the ambulance coming onto the field for Micah (among others) during my time as a STH (which dates to Josh's 4th season (2021-2022)). For whatever reasons, I feel exceptionally aware of how hard a game pro football is. Brutal, really. And winning a game in that league? As hard as it gets. Quote
