Can this team ever stay healthy for more than a few games at a time?  Ridiculous.

I’d be curious to see how many (or how few) teams actually do.

I thought Tage was coming back two games ago, what the heck is going on here?

how many weeks is Greeneay supposed to be out?

Good sign Tage took the trip out west.  Bad sign he went out for team skate a couple of days ago and still can't go.

Hopefully he's back next game in Buffalo.  Season is a marathon, no sense rushing it.

I'd rather have him fully healed of course. But I'd also have him back sooner than later, just because it seems like whenever he has a stretch of games where he doesn't see NHL game action for a little bit, it takes him a while to get it fired back up again.

-Last year to start the season, after not playing all summer, he started out with 1 goal in his first 6 games. He then scored 5 in his next 6 after "getting going".

-Last year when he missed time to injury, after he came back, he only scored 1 goal in his first 7 games back.

-Last year even when having time off from the all star weekend (8 days), he only had 2 goals in his first 9 games back after those 8 days off. (after that he played in 23 games over the next 47 days (almost a game every other day) and had 13 goals in those 23 games.

-2 years ago, his big year, at the start of the season without playing any meaningful games in months, he had 1 goal and 1 assist in his first 7 games. He then had 10 goals in his next 8 games.

This year he  scored in the 2nd game of the year, but almost every year of his career after the offseason it takes him a while to get going. And after injuries or breaks (all star breaks where he gets time off), it takes him a while to get going.  He seems like the type of guy who needs to 'get in a groove', or 'shake the rust off' after time off more than most players. So the sooner he gets back, the quicker that can happen.

Look at 31 other teams. Injuries happen. (See Toronto) Especially when you stand in front of pucks moving at 100mph.

Mike Harrington mentioned on His Podcast he believes it’s a groin injury for Tage and Greenway is week to week.

I would rather have Tage rest until he is almost 100% as the risk of re injury is high

In previous years, this amount of injuries wouldn’t equaled a lengthy losing streak. But we are seeing the opposite. Our depth is becoming a strength.

I wouldn’t go that far.

Our 13th forwards are still Lafferty or NAK. Are they that much of a step up from Robinson or Jost?

It’s true, those guys haven’t been great. I’d imagine, though, that “this guy’s actually pretty good” being found even on down the lineup to 12th/13th man would be one of the final places depth would manifest

To be honest... yes.

And depth just who is playing on the fourth line.  It's also how good are the players that have to move up in the depth chart.  Also, how good do the callups do... and where are they placed in the lineup.  We have several Americans that are ready for callup to play in the middle six.

We went 3 for 3 on the road trip without TT and Greenway thanks to special teams and goaltending. Coaching too.

If Cozens and Quinn were producing as expected I don’t think there would’ve been much worry about TT being out. Those two not pulling their weight consistently exacerbates the issue.

Any team missing their 1C will feel it the longer it goes on. IMO, good teams have other primary scoring that can pick up the slack. At this moment we do not and I think the last couple games show we need another top six forward.

Cozens scored and Quinn found himself in the middle of the slot with the puck several times ... fingers crossed.

Why would anyone expect 4th liners to be "great" at anything other than slowing the other teams best lines down?

Our fourth line hasn’t been good at much of anything, but I agree. Like I said, having 4th liners that can elevate in a pinch is probably the very last place you’d expect to find “depth”. That would be a luxury

Not sure about Robinson.   He's doing really well in Carolina on a line  with Necas and has 5 goals and 8 assists

Roslovic has 12 goals and 1 assist this year. Not related, but just an interesting tidbit

Well, in fairness, Necas is also having a crazy good season and I don’t think that’s due to being on a line with Robinson. Robinson was fine in Buffalo. He was slowed down because he was always paired with Girgs and Okposo. Our current depth is an improvement on those two at a minimum.
