LabattBlue
Anyone considering MSG+ for the 24-25 season? I am in the WNY area, so ESPN+ doesn't help me, and Spectrum is out of f***ing control. Not interested in FUBO due to their channel lineup, so I was considering YTTV, and then adding MSG+ on a month by month basis from October to April for the Sabres games. GoPuckYourself
29.99 per month is outrageous. $240 to watch hocky games for 7 months is just a money grab imo.

I did the annual, $308. Also YTTV and also WNY. Son is a Knicks fan so that helps justify. Feed quality sucks, but it's the only option. I got tired of chasing around feeds, and if I watch 25-30 games (have a half-season package + the other networks) that's ~$10-12 per. Less than a beer at the rink! Can you also just grab MSG+ as a standalone app and put it on a Roku or whatever? I recall some - perhaps including @PASabreFan - saying there were problems with the MSG+ app/service/feed last season. For my part, I chased bootleg feeds for '23-24. I'm waiting for the reviews to improve on MSG+. (Or am I misinformed in that regard?)

Not sure if they changed anything but my brief foray into MSG+ was easily, unequivocally the worst streaming service I’ve ever experienced. That was last season, not sure if they fixed it (doubt it) but I made it exactly one game before switching services. (Technically my BIL, gave me his login credentials for a service not to be named but let’s just say, I get it Directly).
LabattBlue
Just curious if pic quality is unwatchable on any TV, or is it just not on par with the best out there?
Bangarang
Direct TV Stream has MSG and they offer more channels than YouTube TV. The cost would be similar to YouTube TV and MSG+ and the video quality with Direct TV Stream is objectively better

It's not terrible on a PC or phone. On the ROKU app or casting from PC to TV was rough. I would usually end up watching on laptop w/ the TV on whatever the wife wants to watch. 1
#freejame
I just learned anyone can screen mirror at the end of last season. The quality is good enough for me.

It’s a lot more economical than the Bills games that’s for sure…. But spending overall has just gone nuts lately and greed has no end. The only real way to get prices back down is to stop buying….. I don’t think the Bills are going anywhere this year but I think I already paid the first installment to f-fen YouTube which is just almost a complete waste of money otherwise…. IDK? I heard a young person today say what a great time to be alive…. I wish she said why….

I heard a young person today say what a great time to be alive…. I wish she said why…. Why, because she's young. It's like Neil Simon said in Biloxi Blues - that was the best time of their lives, not because they loved the war, they hated it, but because they were young. And when you're young, life is nothing but potential. And what's not great about that? And looking back on your own youth, do you reminisce about what was great or all the things that were wrong back then too? Being young is awesome. Too bad it's wasted on the young. 😉 Like Neil Peart said "we're only immortal for a limited time."

True, I already had youtube TV before they got the games so it was no big deal for me although the price hike sucked regardless. I don't have netflix and I'm not paying for it either just to watch a few meaningless regular season games. These money grabs are getting insane and if we all keep paying for them then they;ll just keep doing it.

Just wanted some preliminary info, can we have your ss#, unfreeze your credit lock, 24 month contract, etc… That being said, I am going to give the free trial a shot before hockey season, and if I am happy with it, FU Spectrum. steveoat87
I live in the New York City area and decided to not renew the YouTube NFL ticket. If I recall, the price was $450, which is crazy. In my area, at least 5 of the Bills games will already be on national TV, and I'm sure that if they are close to being in the playoffs at least a few more will be shown. This means they are asking for roughly $60 per game (for the games that may not be available) which is absurd.

Not a guarantee to get each game, but you should be able to find a server to access the local market game in a city that broadcasts the game. I think I was able to access all but two games played on CBS last year and it cost me about $8/month.
