I was just starting to follow hockey again after living in Los Angeles and Fort Worth for six years, but I was living in Detroit so the Wings were the only team I had access to (pre-internet, pre-Center Ice days). When we returned to Fort Worth in 1997 we finally got Center Ice- to follow the Red Wings- and I finally started to watch the Sabres again.
