He aslo brought in Pilut and Clague (along with Lyubushkin). He adequately had the F's reinforced to cover a ST injury. Obviously as a 7/8 is getting regular game play, he didn't adequately reinforce the D. That said, by the end of the day they can be back in a playoff spot. He's done some things right.
