18-0-2 at home.

That 0 is insane.  No regulation losses at home.  The BRuins are ridiculously good.

So.. Let's Go Sabres.. they're going to need to play insanely good.

It’s no wonder why they are this good yet again. Especially in the third. When you get last change and shorten your bench to put the best line in hockey (5+ years running, maybe more?) on the ice, you can pretty much determine the outcome of the game then.

If the Sabres win today, it will be because of the kid line. They have to show up. Casey’s line, as well.

They need to go up big in the first two, then withstand the onslaught in the third. That seems to be their game plan most games anyway.

In Boston, against Ullmark

Gonna have to get some breaks to win this one

If the Sabres win whoever starts in net is going to have to have the game of their life

Just get it to overtime see what happens

I don't think Ullie is fit to play today.  That will help a bit.

The really interesting part of this game IMHO is the chess match of the line matching.

The Kid Line had trouble against the Bergeron line but did well against the Hall line in the 1st game.

The Mittelstadt line played well against the Bergeron line but had troubles with the Hall line.

Expecting the B's will try to keep those matchups that worked well but it'll be interesting to both see how/if Granato counters and also if the B's will try to match top lines or let their checkers handle the Thompson line & try to win a shootout.

UPL in net

Swayman for Boston

Interesting.  Really thought they'd go w/ Anderson.  Guess they want to see if UPL should stay up or go back down when Comrie's conditioning stint is done.

This game very well could decide his future for the next 4 months.

Anderson probably wanted the start in Ottawa

Before we get into the inevitable conversation on how big the Bruins are I did a check.  Both teams average height is 6’ 1”.  The Bruins average weight is 2 pounds heavier at 198.8 lbs.  The Bruins average age is 28.4, three years older than Buffalo.

Looking at team stats, both team have a good power plays and they score almost as much as Buffalo does ( the teams are 1 and 2).  Boston prevents shots and goals much better than Buffalo (they are 1st overall we are 23rd) .  They win face offs and we don’t, (they are 2nd and we are last) and they have a great PK (2nd vs 25th).

So let’s win this game and take a step forward today.

Muscle Weight.

Need to beat them tonight. Was listening to a podcast today that said something along the lines of 'realistically, their first home defeat could be the winter classic. Has any team ever had that before' etc etc.
