A ton of quality chances. When some of these guys learn to finish a little better the Sabres are going to have a dynamite offense. As has  already been said here, if only Anderson was significantly younger he would be a super #1 GT. His anticipation of where the shot will come from comes obviously from his experience, but he's made some great saves just from super reflexes. He might be able to shine after this year if used on a limited basis.

TNT is already a star in this league. He is playing with a lot of confidence and has that good kind of selfishness, knowing that he is probably the best bet to take the shot or be the one to carry the puck to the net. Granato seems to be increasing his time on the PK which has to make the players on the other team's PP be a little less aggressive.

This team is starting to remind me of the beginning stages of the 2005 team.

That’s a great point.

I want to see a shut down period.

4-1 lead on the road.  You gotta learn to shut them down.  Control the neutral zone.  Stifle them at zone entry’s and then put them back on defense.

TNT's long and active stick is a great tactic on the PK....along with your point about him being dangerous if he gains possession and the opposing team's defender might be a forward playing point on the PP.

This is what I’ve been looking for in games where they have a lead this season.  They need to learn how to close out games strong instead of letting teams back in or looking like they are just holding on for dear life.  It’s part of the maturation process.
