Doohickie
They said the Sabres have to go east and west to negate NJ pressure but really it seemed like the Sabres did best int he O zone moving low to high and back low. grinreaper
Devils were ready considering the Sabre's last two starts. They're settling down somewhat now.

Sidc3000
Just painful to watch. One team is run at a very high NHL level, the other not so much.

Believer
We’’re playing 5-5 in their zone like we’re on. PP… Too many passes… Not shooting and rushing the net looking for rebounds
Sidc3000
Anderson is going to be the best defense tonight

The Devils are flooding the side of the ice with the puck making it extremely difficult to move the puck up that side of the ice. Not sure if Buffalo has made any adjustments. ubkev
Lol, they get their ass kicked all period, end up with a 2 on 1 and Zemgus fires it off the boards. These boys owe Anderson a beer.
Believer
We survived our start… Anderson kept us in it until we settled in…
sweetlou
How come the Sabres don't teach the shot pass of the pads? Girgs should have put that low, five hole, on net and look for rebound.

Pimlach
Even after 1. We got better as the period went on but I can see why NJ has such a good record. Lots of speed and very sound. We passed up on a few chances. I think we have to throw more pucks at this guy. grinreaper
I don't know if the Sabres have played against a team this quick yet this year. It took them at least half the period to adjust to another team with their speed. Goaltending saved their collective *****. Lindy looks to have aged quite a bit since last year. #46 in quick glimpses looks like Jochen Hecht. Side by side they wouldn't look like each other at all.
