One of my favorite moments .

Thanks for the memories.  I forgot about that one until I watched the video.

Barnaby the disturber.  May was pretty tough.  Loved Trefilov coming down.  Derek Plante thinking......why am I on this line?

Most of mine are boosted from some of the many great posts in here:

Winning the roulette for Gilbert, leading to Gilbert winding up in his own end

Going to a game with my dad in the Aud.  Sometimes we sat in the 6th or 7th row deep in the corner and the slappers and big body checks that came flying in were amazing.

Rico smashing the rookie goal scoring record in the 2nd year of the franchise.

Schony taking on the Bruins

Dominik shutting the door on the Leafs in the playoffs

7-6

Who else?  Who else?

HM:  Briere’s double OT winner vs Philly in 2006, followed a few months later by the Sabres destroying Philly 9-1 early in the 2006-07 season, precipitating Clarke’s resignation and Hitchcock’s firing.

In not particular order:

1. Drury tieing it up, afinogenov in ot vs rags

2. Woolley in OT vs Dallas in finals

3. pominville in OT vs ottawa

4  May day

5. plante in ot in game 7 vs ott

I’ve only really been a fan since 2015ish, so here goes:

- Several Eichel OT winners, notably one against Nashville and one against Carolina

- The 10 game win streak, especially that Skinner OT win vs San Jose

- When Botterill and everyone else was fired

- Eichel trade

- Tuch getting by Eichel to bury that empty netter

Going to the Barnaby Mother’s Day hat-trick game with my Dad

Watching the Sabres stomp the Leafs with family in ‘99 outside in gorgeous summer weather

Sabres Fan Appreciation Days and getting to meet and play games with all of my favorite players as a kid

Watching Campbell flatten Umberger with  all my friends in high school

Sabres-Senators brawl and then going to the next game in Ottawa with my family

HM: Sabres in the Plaza in ‘99; meeting Miller during one of his first stints in Montreal and having him ask if we knew where the other guys went

Mad max 61 diving through center ice, I vividly remember that OT goal and celebration, such an exciting team.

The one SOG where Miller reached behind his back/head and stopped it on the goal line, it was crazy and the most hasek like save since Dom himself

Kasparitus scoring in OT for PIT to knock buffalo out, it seemed like such a weak shot that best one of the best. (similar to when Ottawa beat us in playoffs, I think it was Spezza or Alfredsson)

Pegula's speech, I thought we were going to be perennial winners, spend to the cap, this team was going places.... Little did we know.

Getting KO, the Sabres were a team that didn't really attract good free agents, this felt like a little changing of the guard.

HM, Hasek vs Brodeur, what a game.

I’m a pretty young fan (entering senior year of college) and I’d always rooted for the Sabres with my Dad growing up (usually listening to RJ on the radio). But the first game that I still remember watching was the last time they were in the playoffs, the game where Pominville got hurt against the flyers (game 5?)
