Despite signing an entry-level deal in Buffalo, he will return to the Extraliga for another year of development in 2022-23."

PerreaultForever
So are we hoping for a Sweden Chechia final?
Eleven
It has begun. US v Germany at 8pm tonight. TV unknown because NHLN hasn't updated its site and IIHF's site is predictably *****.
French Collection
Kulich is playing RW on the top line for Czechia. He plays the right point on PP1. He generated one nice chance on a rush and had a few decent shot attempts.
French Collection
Kulich credited with an assist on Czechia’s 2nd goal. He may have scored, as he and Gut were jamming away at the puck in the crease. 1
PerreaultForever
Kulich likes to drive to the net and isn't afraid of getting right in there. I saw some power forward potential in him today. Czechia was the better team by far but their goalie was pretty horrible Jirichek was really good. Has a nasty edge too. By far the best player on the ice for both teams. 3
French Collection
USA has outshot Germany 25-4 in the first. Very dominant, moving the puck well. German goalie is playing well.

I looked for rosters and didn't see anything updated. I assume Power and Savoie are not playing? Rosen, Nadeau, Kulich, Östlund, Bloom, Lindgren??? If anyone wanted to list the Sabres' prospects who are participating in the tournament and their teams -- that would be great.

PerreaultForever
Sweden didn't impress me. You could argue that the goalie should have stopped Rosen on his goal but you could also argue that that was a true goal scorer's goal. Speed to the net, quick shot, made it look easy.
dudacek
Anyone else recall a WJC featuring 2 Sabres 1st rounders when neither of them were among the team’s top 3 prospects, let alone not even among the top 5?

PerreaultForever
Kulich, player of the game for Chechia. His goal above reminded me of a typical Pasternak goal. Just a perfect snipe. Goalie has no chance. He's a shooter. Missed the net in the shootout trying too hard for just inside the post I guess, but he was very good all game. Goalie couldn't handle his shot on the tying goal either, which resulted in the tap in from in front. From what I've seen in the 2 games so far this pick is looking very very good. Raty was very good for Finland which will irritate a few people. 🙂 Rat-y style knee on knee with Jirichek as well. Overall even game.

There's no question whoever tanks best this year is getting one heck of a hockey player and Anaheim already got a good one.
