Great signing. From Buffalo News:

Ilya Lyubushkin: The 28-year-old isn’t flashy and won’t contribute much offensively, but he’s reliable defensively, particularly when trying to stifle an opponent’s rush offense. He’s a right-handed shot, cheap at a projected $836,000 for one year, and it wouldn’t hurt for the Sabres to have a Russian NHLer after they selected six players from the country over the past two drafts.

This works. Someone with the proper accounts will need to pop up all his various charts and usage info, but he fits the mold of what we're looking for without the Rutta/Manson name recognition because they made it to the Final. (or the cost)

@Brawndo even beat me with the chart to my charts comment. What the hell!?

Can he hold down pair 3 though?

Better question, will he be a more stabilizing partner for Power than Jokiharju was or Pysyk would've been?

Really want him paired with a guy that can let him try the things that will quicken his development w/out getting bit in the arse for it every time.

And if Jokiharju can improve in those aspects of his game, then let the competition for 4D be on.
