Thanks, Ghost for getting us started in the wee hours of the AM, but this thread was definately started on game day, especially here where I am an hour ahead of EDT and am located in the only real time zone.  Yes.  The one that started it all.  Yup.  Yous all can look it up.

Anyway, as usual ...

MUST WIN!!

GO SABRES!!

Ovi is old and rather bashed up and rough looking and has no teeth, but his wife is a real Russian beauty alright.  Cute kids too.

Yes your Buffalo Sabres will try for their 4th straight win and 8th in the last 11 games against the Washington Capitals. With this streak the Sabres are showing the hockey world that their Kids Are Alright. During the March streak you may be surprised to find out the Sabres have scored 28 goals and surrendered 28. They have given up 15 goals in their 3 losses and only 13 in their 7 wins so it really isn't hard to figure out that their team defense and GK is what is carrying the day except they have scored 26 goals in their 7 wins and and 2 in the 3 losses.

Although Dahlin's play has been outstanding during this streak you might be surprised to find out he only has 5 points during this 10 game streak this month. Can this team continue its very good defensive play of late or are we doomed. Thompson leads the team in points this month with 8 and is on track to score 60 points on his current pace. What has been impressive is they are getting contributions from all 4 lines this month.

Both teams enter the game playing well...Caps 7-2-1 and Sabres 7-3 over their last 10 games, good for 4th(tied) and 5th best in the NHL over that timeframe. Sabres tied for second longest win streak in the NHL with Boston and Dallas with 3 in a row, trailing only the Wild's 4 in a row, while Caps have lost 2 straight.

Should be a good game.  Hoping the Sabres continue their strong play of late tonight...this team is starting to put it together.

Tage Thompson, likely 30 goal scorer. Who saw THAT coming before the season started??

Was there not one of those last year?

It was all a mirage anyway.  These Sabres are starting to look different.

I think they only won 2 games in a row three separate times last year, if this is to be believed: https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/BUF/2021.html

Heard we might lose this game because Washington is .02cm taller and 3lbs heavier on average. No way we can win this because of that... no way. Totally impossible because "The good big man beats the good small man every time."

So you're saying it's all Eakins fault. He's short and light. Get rid of him and get a bigger stronger guy and we win.
