Judged against Jim Schoenfeld, sure.

Judged against most NHL defencemen, I disagree.

Nashville game would be my exhibit A

I’d be happy  if he’d just tie up a guy’s stick in front of the crease. He gets outmuscled too often.

I totally missed this on my calendar! Game on……

Ottawa has 6 less games due to COVID-19 breakout earlier this year. So…..

Of the teams below us, Ottawa seems the most likely candidate to overtake us, and I'm guessing Seattle figures some stuff out and finishes the season with more poitns than us. I expected Arizona to be at the bottom of the standings and it's amazing that MTL has went to cup finals to dead flurping last. I wonder if Price is expected to return at some point, and if that happens can they start putting wins together? If I'm the new GM there I tell Price to take his sweet old time and get a top draft pick.

I think the most surprising stat of the season so far is that despite only winning 6 of the last 31 games, the Sabres are somehow sitting in 28th place and that there are 4 teams worse than them. Ottowa being one of these teams. Expect a real stink-fest tonight.

Ottawa isn't that bad. In terms of point percentage, they are just ahead of the Sabres.   Since Dec 2 game, they are 7-3-1,  including wins vs the Avs, Panthers, and Lightning.  They have had a lot of Covid issues like Buffalo (and many other teams) but early in the year a lot of their key players missed games.  They are a better team than their record shows, and they have been playing really good as of late.

In that case I expect a stink-fest from only the Sabres.

Here's something unexpected: Thompson, Okposo, Girgensons, Tuch, Murray, Jankowski, Hayden, Dahlin, Samuelsson, Hagg.

That's more than half a lineup at 210ish or more.

Quietly the Sabres have become kinda big.

I don’t think we suffer from small stature.  It’s the heart to play hard night after night that is missing.

Those Detroit games have me very upset with this team.

The first one was terrible.

I thought they played much better yesterday (and it sure helped to have Krebs and TT back -- it seemed like they had 3 credible forward lines) but fell apart down the stretch.

If one were inclined towards pessimism with this franchise, one could say that the stink of losing has set in with the new group and the players now subconsciously expect to lose and thus don't have the mental toughness to close out a win.
