Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Far east coast right on the Atlantic.

My friends call me NS.  I don't have any enemies.

The Vikings landed in Nova Scotia exactly 1000 years ago this year. They recently just discovered this through the analysis of the ships wood by knowing about a solar storm around the year 1000 A.D.

Thanks, Chief.

Not questioning you exactly, but my limited knowledge of the Vikings in this part of the world has them in Newfoundland as the only confirmed location in North America.

Ooh. I probably got my Canadian locations mixed up. Thanks.

No worries.  Newfoundland is just up the road and across some water from me.

They have been doing some digging around as it were and you are right about the date.  They have figured out the exact date of the Norse arrival in newfoundland ... well exact year anyway ... 1021.

That’s what I was trying to say but I screwed it up. 🤓

I live just east of San Francisco and have for 28 years in January.

I grew up on the west side of Buffalo on Plymouth and Connecticut street, exactly where the Italian Festival used to take place for all those years. Also right down the street from Mineo and Sapio.

Those days were the best.

Pretty awesome to see Sabres fans from all over the world in here!! Cheers 🍺🍺

I answered 'WNY Outside of Buffalo' even though Rochester is technically not in WNY.  Didn't want to get lumped in with places like Albany and NYC.

Checking Google, most links say that Greater Rochester is still largely considered WNY. Someone living there might know better though.

Geographically, it's still pretty far west and it's still part of Sabres and Bills nation so I've always considered it WNY... Just not Greater Buffalo.
