Vancouver radio has been fun today (Paraphrasing):

"This seems really weird to say this, but this is kind of a big game for the Canucks.

I know it shouldn't be, because it's the Buffalo Sabres, i mean look at that roster.

But if the Canucks expect to be a good team — and they do — good teams don't lose back-to-back games to the Detroit Red Wings and the Buffalo Sabres, they just don't."

Let's hope the Canucks think "it's just the Sabres."

Bumming right now.  Originally had other plans, so had my tix for sale but the plans changed yesterday so was planning on attending.  Forgot to delist the tix.  Fortunately checked to make sure everything was set before heading out as it appears they sold an hour or so ago.

Moral of the story:  delist the tickets WHEN the plans change, not a day or 2 later.  Probably for the best, likely would've fallen asleep in the car on the trip back home.  Been that kind of a summer.

Oh, well.  Go get 'em, boys.

This is the first playoff team we face, lets see how we do 🙂

They weren't a playoff team last year and the lost to a bad Detroit team on Saturday.

They should be better than that though, and do have, however, far and away the best goalie we've seen so far.

Why not just grab something cheap on the secondary market. I heard it's pick-your-seat night. Ticketmaster NHL has a single seat for under $27.

Was going to go w/ my old man to "show off" our new seats.  Too much of a hassle to just go sit somewhere randomly on a weeknight.  Yeah, realize it's kind of a 1st world problem, but it's already been a rough week & was looking forward to the whole enchilla.

Wouldn't be the same now.  There'll be other games to take him to.

Do realize the Sabres have no home games from January 23 through March 3?

Yep.  Weird quirk of scheduling.  Technically it's a 7 game road trip but with the 3 week break for the Olympics & All Star festivities, it isn't that onerous.

Also, nice to not have to deal w/ the elements in February.  Could catch massive snow storms on either side of the break, but shouldn't have the same bone chilling temps we get in February.
