EDIT: Just finished the show. Here's a criticism. They yammered on about god knows what for 35 minutes. Then in the last three minutes they announce the next episode is next Monday, where they promise to discuss Eichel's surgery, trade rumors, Dahlin's contract, etc. Those are all fairly old topics. There will be mold growing on them by next Monday. So already this is not a show for timely takes on what happening in hockey and the Sabres. 

Frankly I'm not impressed with the Instigators with Marty and Duffer so far either.  They seem to talk over each other and tend to go on tangents themselves. So far, in spite of my not crazy about Rivet, I preferred the old Instigators to the present one.

I don't know about that...there have been douche commercials and bikini wax commercials since I was a kid.

 

I'm still not listening to their podcast, though.

I believe that the primary reason that this duo left the show was the reduction of time on the show from a two hour to one hour show. I remember when Peters announced the change in format he was explicit in stating that he was not happy with the reduction in air time. On the YouTube clip you posted he again mentioned the reduction in time.

Maybe you are right, but have you heard the commercial in question?  They are pretty over the top and explicit.

Same deal as quitting your job and being your own boss.  Positives can come from that but you need to look at everything involved.  They said it wasn't about the money and having the ability to talk freely about any subject in the NHL has some appeal for them I would think.  Working for the Sabres I'm sure they would need to be careful on some topics.
