If Reeves is on the ice for those games he most definitely will have an affect.  Him and Lucic are about the only 2 players in the league that Wilson actually respects.

respects yes, but he's not afraid of them. Won't change his game one iota but after a hit it is more likely we see Reeves Wilson than Wilson Panarin.

It’s sort of part of free agency but a big one in Boston:

Taylor Hall not going to be happy 🙂

Just wondering, could this be a new way to circumvent the cap? He's going to play in the Czech Republic. Could he sign with the Bruins at the deadline for the playoffs or is there rules to prevent that?

Pretty sure he’d have to clear waivers, unless that was changed in the latest CBA.

[s]No.  He's a Group 2 FA.  He needs to sign a deal by December 1 to be allowed to play this season.

Didn't see anything in the MOU altering that policy.[/s]

So happy the B's essentially traded Krejci for Hall this year.  Krejci's a driver.  Hall, not so much.

He's Group 6, not Group 2. Oooops

He’s been one of the Bruins I’ve always liked but anything that hurts them is fine with me. He had a damn good career.

Anything hurts them? it's not like they need another elite player I don't want them in the draft lottery and with Taylor hall it seems like that's going to happen because hes cursed

Apologies.  He's actually a Group 6 FA.  The December 1 deadline isn't applicable.  Don't know if he'd be able to play in the NHL once his Czech team's season is over.

Oooops.

… Krecji retiring isn’t going to put them in the lottery and even if they are they won’t be eligible for the first pick because they aren’t going to be a bottom 11 team.

Because it doesn't help the Sabres one iota. I would love to see the Sabres get better but all I keep seeing is this.

Yes, Barney is a dick, but he's not wrong.

So, the thing is, it makes sense to be unhappy that the Sabres are not acquiring good players for the NHL team.

However, it doesn’t makes sense to be unhappy that the Sabres acquired a good player for the AHL team.  That’s a good thing that should happen.

Especially since this guy is a recent teammate of JJ Peterka.  It will be good for the German kid in a new country to have a familiar face.  In addition to him being a good AHL defenseman.

The fury is misplaced.

The bolded is fantastic asset management. Get the kid comfortable as quick as possible so he can hit the ground running.

Outstanding pick up IMO
