Damn, we really can't afford to trade *anyone* good lol

Not unless we get NHL players or NHL ready assets back.  We need goaltending in the worst way.  We need two stay at home D in the NHL.  We need better RWs at the NHL level and certainly AHL centers (plus prospect centers) and LHD in the farm system.  If Reinhart and Eichel are traded, we need at least one good center back in the deals.

I generally try not to be negative, because really this is just hockey.  I just have to say though, it looks like this team is going to be ***** terrible next season.

I don't know if this is good news or bad, but this depth chart is definitely going to change and soon.

I know.  It’s a snapshot in time.  Things will change and the exact direction is hard to predict.

I’m actually pretty willing to be patient.  Just give me entertainment and hope.

What's really telling is how ridiculously weak that AHL group is.

and of course.............no goalie.

I don’t think it’s as bad as you think.

JJP, Quinn, Murray, Pekar, Laaksonen, UPL likely all have NHL roles one day, plus Portillo and Ryan Johnson coming along.

A handful of prospects just “graduated” - Tage, Mitts, Asplund, Samuelsson, Cozens, R2...

maybe. Only UPL and JJ have me excited.

  • GASabresIUFAN changed the title to Sabres Post-Draft Depth Chart

I’ve updated the depth chart to reflect Reinhart’s departure and the addition of Power.  I’m assuming Power signs a deal and comes to Buffalo, but there is a good chance he returns to school.

If there is any development that can happen in college (gets more time working out, gets more ice time than he would in Buffalo, actually has a good time playing hockey, etc), then I'd be 100% good with him playing a full year in college...and at the end of the year getting a couple games in with Buffalo or Rochester.

I kind of like our forward group.

ATM line is so fun to watch and they put up points: Mitts Tage Asplund

Putting the checking line of Girgs, Okposo and Bjork? together, that could be good again.

Olofsson, Skinner R2 Cozens can all score goals.

This is not a bad group at all. If we keep Jack it’s even better.

We ain't keeping Jack, but I agree that there is promise in this lineup.  Sadly it won't matter if we don't get some decent goalies.

I would be shocked to see Power in Blue and Gold in less than 2 years time.

Sadly, I don’t think you are missing anyone.

I would be extremely surprised if Power is with the Sabres in 2021-22 though.
