Taking a rib at fans for celebrating a win is pretty much stupid and classless.  The fans pay his salary. It shows a lack of maturity and awareness.  Tipping his hat to them for their relentless support on the other hand would be classy.

WWE wrestling is fake and not applicable.  Playing it up for the cameras at another teams expense is classless.  He won. That should be enough.

we are not  going to agree.

I agree, if we've gotten to, "we pay their damn salaries!" territory, it's gone beyond agreement.

As aside, as much at it'll pain you to hear, wwe and the nhl are, at their heart and at the end of the day, very similar things - entertainment products.

Relentless support? Like generally sitting in front of a tv or computer screen slamming back beers? lol. Do the fans of an NHL team show more passion than a wrestling fan who tunes into hours of product loyally every week, ardently consuming the product?

He's playing it up for the cameras. He's not going to go to some autograph signing and rail off about Habs fans to the gathering crowd

The context of the "class" discussion was the comments he made. Taking a rib at the fans for celebrating a win like they'd won the cup. It was akin to a wwe wrestler standing with a microphone and saying, "Boy, that local sports team sure doesn't play well, amirite?!". He was playing it up for the cameras - a harmless comment: to call into question his "class" because of it seems eye-rolly to me.

Knocked it out of the park here. There’s nothing wrong with what Kucherov said. The league needs WAY more of that type of stuff. It makes it more exciting not only for the heavy fans but also did the casuals and those trying to break into the sport.

The bottom line for me is they shouldn't have been able to add Savard at the deadline with Kucherov coming back and their cap situation. He's not getting talked about much because he's not flashy and a scorer but he is a very very good defenseman and his addition totally changed the make up of their D, which otherwise might have been their only weak spot. You don't add Savard to their D and I do not think they make it past the NYI and we'd have been watching Montreal/NYI in this final and every game would have been 1-0 (or thereabouts) and toss a coin as to which team wins.

He was shirtless and Killorn was pouring beer down his throat as he leaned back like those spring break parties in Mexico. I thought he chose his words reasonably well, all things considered. lol

NHL culture actively embraces the players absolutely drowning themselves and their possessions, and locker room, in alcohol after winning the Cup, yet a small comment that follows is "wait wait hold on now, class it up!"

Come on, man.

The league needs more Kucherov and less of the boring boiler plate crap that we get from what is clearly a pre-recorded answer during most pressers. Class it up? Screw that, you won the cup drink beer and tell it like it is.

Hell yeah, he also sounded a bit sloshed too, good on him.... His only classless move was drinking bud light 😂😂

You make a ton of money, an ipa or something would suffice

I guarantee you there was some "little water" involved off-camera.

They followed the rules.  All teams hold players out until they need them once they are on IR.  ALL TEAMS.  LTIR, IR, it doesn't matter.  Since you can't always assign players for "conditioning stints" the league lets the players take extra recovery time to get in better shape to return to play.

The rule sucks, there should be a salary cap in the playoffs, it's that simple.  This would fix the problem.  Change the rule, yes.  Did they cheat? Not at all.

You are greener than Kermit dude.  It's 100% not the truth.

And let's hope Tampa gets blown up this off-season.. because the Sabres need to play them a lot more next season.

Sure it is.  Those fans don't even know what hockey is for the most part.

Isn't getting into game shape, basically being able to play the game, part of the injury rehab process?  What good is he if he can't play more than 8 minutes a game?

Look at a pitcher coming off Tommy John surgery. The arm is healed many months before he is ready to perform in a game. He needs to be capable of playing well and not re-injuring himself.

What have we done to deserve it that Tampa hasn't?

I am talking more as fans
