Considering most of the players met for the first time last week is encouraging. Next up Dundee Stars travel to meet the Clan at the braehead arena. The season begins next Friday with the challenge Cup. Then we're into the league season. Unfortunately £15 is usual price for webcasts. That's the average ticket price for a game. The owner of the Clan franchise doesn't like webcasts. Hopefully they do a better job of the highlights this year. I'll post any as soon as the club make them available. Well, tell the owner that giving a reasonable price to some random from Buffalo who is absolutely not going to fly to Glasgow for hockey, isn't cutting into the team's profits. steveoath Posted September 3, 2022 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2022 Holy balls. They were awful tonight. Lost 3-6 They look like a time who are yet to learn each others first names. GT was hung out to dry on several occasions. They looked OK early on cycling g the puck in the offensive zone, but the players didn't look like they knew where their teammates should be on breakouts etc. On the plus side, young scottish lad Liam Stenton acquitted himself well for the Clan. Off ice it appears we are run by halfwits. https://www.bbc.com/sport/ice-hockey/63086759 Head coach and chief executive officer (GM) both suspended after the signing, then cancellation of contract of Lasse Uusivirta. A player who fled the US after being charged with sexual assault while at Alabama (UAH). In the wake of the attempted signing of Lasse Uusivirta, the lack of apology from the club's owner (Neil Black) has led to what could be the end of the road for us. All major sponsors have now suspended their funding, ticket prices are to be raised. After the support shown by the fans to ensure the Clan's survival in recent years this is an absolute kick in the teeth. Led by John Strange of title sponsor Aspray they are currently performing their due diligence and will not comment further. What a weird week this has been. Have some experienced vets to play with our youngsters. Can’t wait for the season to start. they had a fun PR night yesterday. Highland Ice Games night. Clan Stevenson Vs Clan Haden (Captain and asst). Some mad on ice stuff including Haggis Tossing and Zorb Soccer. Ended with a 3 on 3 game and our player intros and launch of 3 new Jerseys.
