Yeah, I think there will be an interim coach on Thursday.  I wonder who though.  🤔

Sad to think he would need to, but maybe.  He works for the owners, so TP is technically his boss, boss, but Bettman also has to watch out for the best interests of the league as a whole too.

Part of me wants to see Kevin Adams step in for a game as HC while the official interim coach (or perhaps perm coach) is put in place.  Kevin could get some front line time both hearing any catharsis from players, but even more importantly, he could instill the fear of God in them as to their lack of passion & compete.  Make it the most miserable practice they have ever had to endure.

I wonder how the conversation went.  Assistant: Mr. Pegula, Mr. Bettman on the line.  TP: Hi Gary, what's new, get your COVID shot yet?  GB: Oh months ago, maybe you should have got some for your team. Maybe we wouldn't be in this mess.  TP: What mess?  GB: Seriously?  The one where your team is 2-14-2 in it's last 18 games and your getting blown out left and right.  TP:  Well we are just going through some growing pains.  Kim tells me the players still really like and respect the coach. GB:  Didn't look like that after the Washington game.  Did you see the media interviews?  TP: No, your really can't trust the media to be objective.  They don't understand what we are trying to do here. GB: Terry, you are running one of our most loved franchises into the ground.  Stop being cheap.  You are embarrassing the league and I'm getting call from the other owners about how bad your team is.  It's past time to fire that coach.   Also get someone into that front office that has a friggin clue.  TP: Remember Gary you work for me.  GB: No Terry, I work for all the owners and they want you to clean up your act.  Find a hockey guy to run this franchise and do it now.
