Ticket Sales: It's a Bloodbath

I'll double down after learning a bit more. They sold almost 1,000 tickets in less than 24 hours. Under the circumstances, that's impressive.

Also, don't get the impression they "resorted" to having to sell to the general public because sales were slow. Today at 2 was the scheduled time to do so.

Other open pro franchises (even the bad ones) aren’t having issues selling because people WANT to do things. They just don’t want to pay for Sabres hockey.

What do you mean by that?  Tell us more.

Maybe they are sick of paying coaches to not work for them - or that the players like Ralph and have expressed they want more time to play better for him - maybe they know exactly what they're going to do and we just don't yet - maybe they've talked to an experienced coach and he doesn't think it's beneficial to come in now but he'll closely watch the team.

For supposedly being Buffalo people, Pegula's are really clueless

A lot of Buffalo people are clueless too. I remember when we first heard about Pegula, all I could think of were the stupid fans we sat near for years at the Aud, thinking one of them became a billionaire and bought the team.

Maybe...and maybe not. How much more time would you like?

That makes the most sense. Really , it does... really.

If I were a Sabre PR person, I could easily defend the number sold as decent/admirable/perty darned good considering the circumstances. They sold half the available tickets in a very short time, with still over a week to go before the game. A testament to the loyalty of this fanbase. Objectively, it's not a bloodbath. John (and others) are just butthurt about RaKru.

I don’t buy this. The Bills sold out their 6,000 tickets to STH’s in mere seconds.

No Sabres STH’s wanted tickets when offered. The fanbases are very loyal to both teams, but clearly people don’t want to pay extra to see garbage on ice, and were more than willing to pay extra to see gold on the gridiron.

This is hilariously ridiculous.  Are you 13 years old?

Your comments suggest that.

Wtf does this even mean? They need more time to decide to play better? This makes absolutely zero sense.
