Well, Mahomes got picked twice trying to force something that's not there and Hill can break a play wide open from just about anywhere on the field, so it seemed more of a case of trying to continue to stay in the game and get a playmaker to make a play. But the blueprint is there for how to beat KC. But not many teams have the D-line and the offense to actually follow the blueprint. For once, the Bills were ready for what Mahomes threw at them. Call the game that’s being played, not the one you invented in your head. my comment was like an internet thing where i was drawing attention to the "tame/obvious" nature of the putdown - wasn't really taking a stance on CC. - - - CC did what he always does, fawn over the latest "most talented QB of all time" of the day. It was Rodgers regardless of his playoff failures and now it's Mahomes - Herbert stuff has already started and the mantle may even be on Josh Allen before this season is over - the NFL does this weird thing where the latest greatest young QB is always proclaimed to be the "the most talented thrower of the football...ever?!". Maybe cause of all the rule changes over the years or they just want to sell it, I dunno. Point is I wouldn't worry about the overhype - watching the game as a neutral observer I still heard a lot of Josh Allen compliments. Only real mistake was losing Teller. Grade A++ 2019 - Oliver (starter), Ford (benched), Singletary (part time starter), Knox (becoming a star), Joseph, J Johnson (depth), D Johnson (Carolina depth), Sweeney (depth). - All but Joseph in the NFL. 6 current Bills with Oliver and Knox having the most impact. Grade B+ (Ford drops grade and Singletary also looks like he is losing his job) 2020 - Epenesa (Key Depth), Moss (Starter), Davis (Key Depth), Fromm (practice squad QB), Bass (Star kicker), Hodgins (practice squad), D Jackson (depth). Whole draft part of the organization. Grade B+ but could become an A as Moss and Epenesa improve their status. Moss looks primed to be the No. 1 running back. Bass was worth the pick. 2021 - Rousseau (starter), Basham (depth), Brown (starter), Doyle (depth), Stevenson (IR), Hamlin (depth), Wildgoose (PS), Anderson (lost to Philly). Rousseau looks like a stud, Brown has been awesome since becoming a starter. Grade A Honestly, the only guy who Beane "missed" on are Ford. Ford still has a chance to become a good player. The Chiefs are the reining AFC champs and recent Super Bowl champs. When Bills start winning in the post season, the droolers like CC will be drooling over the Bills.
