There is no way to be ranked that high in virtually every analytic category without being a pretty good team. They do seem "scrambly" at times, but they really aren't giving up those shots from the slot nearly as often as in years past. Miller's shot w/ 6 or so seconds left in the 1st should've been harmless & the type of shot that you don't mind too much giving up. (Ideally, you don't want to give up any, but that's not happening & a fairly unscreened shot from right at the BL should be stopped 99+ times out of 100.) Even last year's team would've let that goal sink them. They fought back & after the game the Rags studio analyst was saying he knew they were going to lose when the 3rd period started. Nice to be on the opposite side of that for once, though unlike him, yours truly wasn't close to convinced the Sabres would definitely kill off Hall's penalty.
