Had to unvote then revote. Lazenby. He had a great movie and a great script. But he was a drunken piece of wood. That's what you get when you hire a model from AUSTRALIA!!!! who had literally never acted before to play Bond, James Bond.

Timothy Dalton and it's not even close.  He just didn't have any of the traits the character was supposed to have.

It's like Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher.  Oh.. wait.

I originally though this, as well. Watch him again, now, though, without the specter of Moore recently gone. He’s better than you would think. His writhing didn’t help.

Lazenby by a country mile.  Just absolutely awful.

Yep.

Brosnan was a cartoon character of Moore,... who was a cartoon character.

I like Craig

I picked Dalton, hopefully more interesting is some Buffalo / James Bond related trivia:

Bell Aerospace in Wheatfield developed the jet pack that James Bond used in Thunderball (1965).

https://jamesbond.fandom.com/wiki/Bell_Rocket_Belt

My dad worked there in the 60's and brought home one of the people from the movie (not Sean Connery) that was in town for some reason that I have long forgotten.  Still remember him showing us his Thunderball ring though.

One of my engineering professors at UB worked there as well.  He told us when they originally tested the jet pack they were concerned it would go straight up and run out of fuel, so they hooked a tether up to the pilot.  He went up.. rope went taught...  and slammed him back into the ground.  Not a great idea.  The wiki link mentions the testing fun.

Thunderball is one of my all time favorite movies.  I heard Sean Connery spent his last days in Nassau where it was filmed.

But the even cooler roll jump over the canal was designed, tested, & perfected at Calspan across the street from the airport.

They even thank Calspan for developing it in the end credits.

Yea I remember that one also!  It was cool.  Can't recall the movie it was in.

Best and Worst movie for each Bond. (Except Lazenby)

1) Connery - Best: From Russia With Love (Goldfinger a close second); Worst: Never Say Never Again (If Eon on then You Only Live Twice.

2) Moore - Best : Live and Let Die; Worst: A View to a Kill (but Octopussy and Moonraker are nearly as bad)

3) Dalton - Best: The Living Daylights; Worst: License to Kill

4) Brosnan - Best: Goldeneye; Worst; Tomorrow Never Dies

5) Craig- Best: Casino Royale or Spectre, Worst: Quantum of Solace

Favorite Bond Villain - Goldfinger

Favorite Bond Girls - Lea Seydoux (Spectre), Daniela Bianchi (From Russia With Love), Eva Green (Casino Royale), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) & Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day).

Favorite Bond Title Song - Live and Let Die, A View to a Kill, and You Know My Name.  That said Shirley Bassey is awesome.

Y'all weren't ready for Timothy Dalton.

The Living Daylights was awesome. And Licence to Kill only suffered from a fairly weak script. He was Daniel Craig's version of bond 20 years sooner. He took out the guy who set up Dr. Richard Kimble, the guy from The Goonies and a prime Benicio Del Toro. He was a certified bad ass. He had a top 2 Moneypenny and Pam Bouvier!

The disrespect!

I don't know who the old timers are (except Connery) but I don't care for Daniel Craig too much.... He's on the same level as Jason Statham for me, just blah.

There's a movie called Layer Cake that gave Craig his start.  I highly recommend it.  One of the best crime films ever; it's almost as good as *****.

I'm writing in @inkman.

Due to my surname, I’ve been hearing James Bond jokes since 1st grade.  They got old before 2nd grade started.  So I’ve always had a connection with Bond, Roger Moore was my Bond growing up.  Didn’t even realize Connery was “the” Bond until my adult years.  I’ve actually never gone back to watch any of Sean’s Bond movies.  I do enjoy Daniel Craig’s version.  The guys in between, not so much.
