Two schools of thought on Cozens as Canada starts training camp:

1) he plays centre as part of elite size/speed/skill Canadian centre spine of Dach/Byfield/Cozens

2) he shifts to the wing again to load up the top six

McMichael, Krebs, Lapierre, Newhook, Zary, Holloway, among the other centres, so some will be be definitely moving to wing.

Don't forget Quinn also starts WJC camp as well.

I will be curious to see how those wings play out because there are not a lot of natural right wingers on that roster. Cozens shifting to RW would change some of that math.

Quinn will be in a battle to make the team, but his rounded game will help him.

I like that he doesn't have to be in a sniper's role to be useful — he can slot in a number of different roles and can move up and down the lineup.

Cozens at centre improves Quinn's chances.

The fact that hasn't been a Hockey Canada guy hurts him. The fact the coach is also his club team coach helps.

I don't like the pick and I won't unless and until he cracks the top six, but that is an encouraging interview.

Cozens hype from Cosentino discussing Canada's leadership, 2nd mention after Byram is Cozens "looking at him...was tall lanky, he's filled out, matured, took advantage of time off, training in the yukon, kelona, london w/ bo horvat, gone from a boy to man during time off".

Packing on get LBs is great. 13-15 pounds Is quite a bit in a few months time. Especially since we know it’s not Doritos, beer, donuts, and nachos 😂

That's probably over a year, no? Since last year's camp?

He looks thicker. He was a rake when we drafted him.

Size is not going to hold him back from the NHL this year.

So excited to see Cozens on the Sabres (I would say in camp but idk how much of camp he will see with the WJC).

Could you and some of the other knowledgeable prospect posters give a comparison between Kirby Dach and Cozens? Are their ceilings in the same range?

In very basic terms, Cozens plays more of a speed/power game, Dach is a more creative playmaker.

Dach has a higher offensive ceiling.

After reading your succinct analysis I think that Krueger has a tendency to favor players who play a more gritty north/south style which would lean toward a player like Cozens over a Dach type of player. Just my sense of the player type that Krueger would be more inclined toward.
