Am I the only one that has a headache after thinking about the Eastern Conference of the Western Hockey League?

What's really going to blow your mind is that this also makes him the Player of the Year of the Central Division (not the East Division, mind you) of the Eastern Conference of the Western Hockey League. ?

It is amazing what happens when you don't rule out an entire league of talent for your drafting purposes because you have some stupid misguided idea about needing 4 years for every prospect to figure out if they will make it. But hey, at least they didn't ***** up this pick like the other one. Cozens is going to be good.

Hehehe. Nahh, it's just that the BAP is always in the NCAA or US NTDP. Only a JBot deals in absolutes!

The nice thing if you watch Cozens is that he drive the net, his shot is getting better, he is fast, he uses his body. He really works hard out there. As much s#!t as I give the Sabres on scouting, they do seem to want hard workers which is a plus. Hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard.

Agree 100%.  Wasn't it Herb Brooks that said, "We're not talented enough to win on talent alone."

It will continue being a defining practice of Botterill's draft strategy. CHL players are an option in the first round, with a high pick, but he's not selecting anyone from the CHL outside of that, as we've seen in 3 full drafts already.
